So I just checked on the site for an 2016 SR5 that has the SR5 upgrade package and it doesn't show that 38 tank. If you check for a 2016 limited and up, it shows under "Mechanical & Performance" the 38 gal tank. So it may not work to look it up they way I said. If someone that has the SR5 with the 38 tank could check. Damn I may have passed on a 2016 because I didn't think it had the 38 tank. The limited an up were out of my price range so I just went back to a 2014. I would have stretched for the 38 tank.

I think I paid $780 for both the front and rear including Toytec shackles. And paid local shop to install everything including alignment for $300. I had $1,000 max budget and believe me when I say I researched the crap out of all combos. very happy with the set up. Still do have the rake look but I have added BAMF bedrack and its fairly leveled now.

So I paid 33k for mine 8 months ago. Im thinking this is what I need to get the deal done:

    Inferno - 35,500
My Truck Trade In - 31,000

Dealer Needs to Swap Over - Headlights, BOSS kit, SPC UCA's, Wheels and Tires

I've got 6k into this truck - I dont think I'm willing to completely restart just to add a bigger cab and some HP.

If you still have your old parts you would be better off swapping before you let the dealer look at your truck.

Well damn. I say just be prepared to walk away from the deal if they won't make it fair for you. Getting value for mods on a trade in is tough.

Yeah, I by no means expect to get that 6k back when I trade it in. Im 100% prepared to walk. This is the first time in my life where I'm walking into a dealer in love with my current vehicle. Its finally my time to be on the right side of the table :)

Joe, unless you're getting a killer deal, wait a few months for the refreshed '18s.

THAT might be the time to buy the current body style inferno. Nothing I've seen on the refreshed 18 that I feel like is a MUST have

Doesn't seem like it's gonna work out. Dealer wants my truck as it sits (which you all called). I wouldn't be opposed to it if the deal was right. But as of right now they want to:

29,000 for trade in (as-is. Paid 33k from them 8 months ago and added 6k in parts)

35,500 for the new truck - and it needs new rubber

Just don't like the way those numbers are shaking out

Run away from that deal! Any other dealers in your area? Or maybe try to sell your truck private party?

Ha true that, I forgot you are looking for used. Post your truck on CL and maybe here and see if you get any bites. It's a sick truck it should sell quick. Just take a look at CL first to see what Tundras are going for in your area. In my area Toyota trucks sell for WAY over blue book.

ok, so after going back and forth, this is where they're at:

    $29,000 for my truck
$37,495 for the inferno. Included in that price is the swap of my wheels, tires, control arms and toytec lift.

    thoughts?

How many miles on the inferno?
    They're doing the swap, right?
Will the lift affect your warranty?

I havent clarified on the warranty. Inferno has 28k and they're doing the swap at the current price.

Is the inferno a CPO (certified pre-owned)

Gives you unlimited for 12k or 1 year, drivetrain to 100k or 7 yrs (from original sell date)

Because the inferno is coming up on its 36k. I'd probably do it with the warranty. See if they'll come up to 30k for your truck. They're gonna price it at 36 at least with those miles.

As off your last post it seems a break even deal..brand new cars depreciate up $5k as soon as you drive it off the lot..then added 18k miles..for $2k to transfer the stuff over it seems even or close to break even deal

I bought the truck with 6k on it used....so I wasn't really expecting the big hit like a new vehicle.
