I also would have loved to support Valhalla, but the wait times reported (2mo?) were far longer than I was willing to leave my cats uncovered. Possibly losing my truck for 6mo due to cat theft doesn't work for me.
I bought a Talon and am pleased with the product.

Oregon just did this. It doesn’t seem to be working.

There will always be theives doing what they do. All you can do is take measures so they steal someone else's shit.

It's like saying, don't lock your doors because they can just pry it open.

I sent email to Talon's Garage this morning asking if they had them in stock ready to ship. I didn't expect to hear anything back until tomorrow being today is a holiday. Well, they replied letting me know they did in fact have them on the shelf ready to ship. Order has been placed.

I just had my cat stolen off my 2005 Honda CRV that sits out front of my house. No insurance because it's an old car and the muffler shopped charged me $1800 and change. This city is getting pretty special now.

I ordered a cat strap and the alarm option today for it. Until then it has to sit in my backyard where it's safe. It reminds me of some inexpensive vacation destinations where everyone has their vehicles behind giant walls around their homes. I think it's great Calgary is becoming more like a 3rd world city every day.

Try this. Yes it’s “gimmicky” but it’s only $30 and it def helps. It works and you can adjust the sensitivity. I arm it, barely push the side of my truck and it gives a warning and then if you bump it again it goes off! I still have the cat plate installed but this is just a little something extra and it’s just $30.

Friend of mine awoke to the sounds of her Cats being cut out of her 2008 Hyundai, her husband ran out to scare them off. They just cursed him, finished and drove off. Cops came ,did nothing but write a report.

The problem with these is false car alarms go off so regularly people generally ignore them.

They don't scare off without a weapon and now they're packing those as well.

I had one of those alarms under my Truck before my plates came in, I forgot to disable it one time so it went off when I tried to remove it.

Under the truck, with all that metal for the sound to bounce off… it was unpleasant to say the least.

Anyone tried welding security plates? I know it can be PITA down the road if you have change them or sensors but maybe worth it?
