    So true. I have an old Macintosh tube fired stereo amp that kicks ass once them there tubes heat up. Downside.....the tubes are expensive as hell now to replace......

    Tell me about it. Some of the holy grail vintage tubes for guitar amps (RCA blackplates, Mullards, Telefunkens, etc) have turned into unobtanium. If you find a matched set that meters well, look out.

    Off the top of my head, I have 14 amps that I have to keep fresh for work. At least I can write off the tubes…:bananadead:
