Sure, I did a video awhile back. It's a basic overland deal, as I'm going to travel usa and boondock 2/3 of the time. My idea is just a hitch carrier (mounted high), with a toolbox power/cooking/lighting/water/shower station. I have a bed tent with inflatable mattress, but plan to get a bed capper so I can leave bed set up and sleep and store things a but more securely. https://youtu.be/BkruZ4qqz7M?si=rzXPs5Cw-an-BYHT

I have since added a 1500w inverter, and found a 25L water tank, 12V 300W immersion heater, and a shower pump, hose and sprayer with 12V switch on it, all in one. I scabbed together a 36"×36" shower out of pvc, glued only half the joints so it can be broken down like tent poles. It slides into u-bolts mounted on back of hitch carrier, as does a light pole with 360⁰ coverage with motion trigger

That’s nifty little setup! Nice work; your wiring is much neater than mine. I like the shower pole idea a lot

Thanks, super pleased with it. I did upsize battery cables since I added inverter, and went to a 100A strap fuse. Here's a picture of shower frame, I just strapped it to trailer to visualize size. I'll be cutting 3' off bottom of main pole since it will slide into u-bolts on hitch carrier. I purposely stressed the center pole to help support shower curtain weight, then discoved conduit slipped snugly into pvc, so reinforced center horizontal pole.

A few recent pics.I haven't had a chance to plumb the water tank/shower yet.

By the way, if anyone is doing a full scale upgrade I have a brand new unopened Go-pro IC3000 for sale. It's a beefy unit, weighs 50lbs. I had a Host camper with a go-pro IC2000 and planned to upgrade it as it was a direct bolt in. Ended up selling camper due to health reasons. These control everything in one box. 100A converter(charger), 3000W pure sine inverter, generator transfer switch, remote control panel with a multitude of settings for whatever your needs or battery types are. I'd let it go for 1500+ ship, or pick up local between Phoenix to San Diego (I have family both locations). How did you calculate using 4awg wire. It seems like that amperage and distance needs 2.

The voltage drop for 30A and 30 ft run is only 0.56V in a 4 AWG conductor. So if the truck is putting out 13.5V, the DC charger is seeing 12.94V, which is well within the allowable input range (8-17V).

2 AWG won't hurt, but is not necessary either. I'm currently getting a little over 30A output from the 30A DC-DC charger.

4AWG would save some money. I was looking at 50amp breaker and 35 total feet (TV battery to Camper battery).

I've got 25ft run from the truck battery to the back bumper and then about 5' between the trailer tongue and power post where the DC charger connects.

From the power post I have about 2' of 6 AWG to the charger and then another 18" to the Lynx bus.

I'm using a 60A breaker at the truck battery.

Very nice setup and diagram. I would like to know how you route the wire from starter battery in backseat back to the bumper. And, how to do you mount the Andersone SB plug onto the bumper.
