Desperate for airbags or something to eliminate rear sag

Truck is terrible sag with trailers or a little weight

 

Pics? What’s Considered terrible?

 

I've heard a few people say this about rear coil springs versus leaf springs. Most all I've heard from in person were not Toyotas though

 

Airbags or stiffer coils are your best options.

 

That is extreme. I have not tried air bags but really enjoy my black sumo springs.

 

Think there are a few on this forum who have replaced their rear springs with heavier rated ones intended for the 80 Series Land Cruiser... YMMV

I don’t see a weight distribution hitch. You NEED one of those first!

Then get your truck weighed. Knowing your axle weights help point you in the right direction.

 

I got one for 8000 pounds that very same day .. helps for sway but want worth its money for sag

 

My 2018 tundra did not sag like that by the way

This truck is twice the towing machine don’t get me wrong but is saging too much . The 10 speed loves towing at hwy speeds

What's the tongue weight of your trailer? Are you carrying any cargo in the box? Are you sure you have your weight distribution hitch dialed in right?

7000 pound trailer . So 700 maybe . 100-150 pounds of gear at best in truck

 

Hitch place installed . And let me know if I try to go to tight there could be damage

 

With a couple of adults in the cab you'd still be within payload limits. I'm thinking tweaking of your weight distribution hitch set up may help you out.

 

That sounds reasonable. Can you post a photo of your rig with the weight distribution hitch in use?

 

Which weight distribution hitch do you have? If you can, install it, hook up the trailer, and then post pics. Your bars should be parallel to the ground. If not set up properly, you will sag still.

that suspension does not work with coils

 

I hook up to trailer and Jack that thing right up and install bars then let Jack back off

 

I usually with two people hooking up I can manage to get 4 links on chain .
It helps but still sagging as is why I want air bags or lifts etc .
So tight when I turn or get on uneven ground it sounds like piano wire like it’s sick

 

Land cruiser springs or Firestone coil-rite 4164 kit. I'd make sure your weight distribution hitch is properly setup first. My experience with a dealer install was garbage. I had to fix it myself.

 

Damn. To be fair my 2.5 gen squatted something fierce with trailer too
