I could be wrong, but I think this forum will let you upload photos from your phone but not videos. My guess is that videos just take too much server space. Best bet is to upload your video to youtube, which has plenty of server space, and then copy the youtube link on here. If you have an account on youtube, then get the youtube app on your iPhone. From there, click on the icon that looks like a movie camera. Then click on the video you want uploaded from your iPhone. At least that's how I've done it, but I admit I'm not too tech savvy when it comes to stuff like that. Looking forward to hearing your exhaust!

For the TRD replacement, what’s the difference between 24x5 mild, 5x12 loud, and 5x18 medium? What’s the quietest?

Also, which is better for living up north with road salt, aluminum or steel?

24x5 (mild) would be the quietest. I would definitely call Keith to confirm though. And you need Stainless. Aluminized will rust with road salt, so it's highly recommended to drop the extra coin if you want it to last!

Definitely call Keith though, Group Buy ends today!!

I’d rather not list. My wife might see it.
I ordered March 29th and he said my manufacture date was about April 29. I won't expect anything until around mid-May. I do see that he under promises but over delivers so who knows...

Like the procrastinator I missed out. Was going to call yesterday and a guy came over to look at some tools and didn't leave till 8. I figured it was too late so I never tried. Better luck next time. If there's one.

A few vids below. These are of the 8” stainless system on a 5.7L double cab.

And sorry about the poor iPhone quality and amateur videos skills. My son and I aren’t the best videographers. He’s only 5, but loves working on and off-roading in our Tundra. He got pretty excited, as I did, when it finally arrived, and really wanted to do unboxing, install and sound clip videos. So who was I to say no?!

Anyway, this first video is kind of a cheesy and unnecessarily long unboxing video we did. I have no idea how to edit or shorten it, so please skip down to the bottom and last video if you want to hear the sound clip.

    https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=gkfLAFlcAN0

Second one is of my son helping me wrench the bolts off the stock muffler. They were on there tight. It helped that I soaked them all with PB Blaster and WD40 days before. Once I cracked them loose, he went to town on one side and I did the other. Trickiest part of the whole thing was reinstalling the tailpipe section. I had to use some big channel pliers to squeeze the clamp enough to start getting the bolt threaded.

    https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=SP70S8Qbx38

And here’s the sound clip, taken just a few minutes after install. Don’t mind the tailpipe position. I later turned it down and re-tightened it after realizing I had it pointed upwards too much and too close to the rear fender.

    https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=AxmUJL6rJFE

I haven’t had a chance to drive it around yet, so I can’t really give a good review at the moment. But it’s surprisingly quiet inside the cab upon startup. As soon as I step on the gas, it gives a nice growl, but it’s not a loud, obnoxious, raspy sound in my opinion. To me it sounds great.

The only V8 exhaust system I can compare it to is a Flowmaster dual tailpipe system I once had on a ‘93 fullsize Ford Bronco with the 5.0. That Bronco was a bit loud. It sounded cool, but in my opinion this Dirtydeeds 8” stainless is more of a refined, “mature” growl in comparison for lack of a better description.

I still haven’t installed the resonator. I’ll wait about a week to see if I want to put it on.

Well, I drove it around town to run an errand, and it sounds awesome! For now, I'd rather listen to it than the radio. Haven't taken it out on the highway yet, though. Curious to see if I feel any "seat of the pants" performance difference with the supposed 3 to 10 hp gain.

I love this exhaust but after a week the wife said no, so going back to stock. The 10” sound above 2k sounds amazing, it’s the rumble around 1.2 to 2k that’s too loud for her. Anyone who missed out on the group buy and in the pnw hit me up!

Will the resonator get rid of the stock drone?

Did you have the 10" installed with the resonator?

Try the 10 inch with resonator. You’ll be surprised how much it quiets the interior sound.
