All I can think is that it's not punctured with the pin on positap or wire got bunched up on the end where it goes in. I am attaching a sketch, I did 2 positaps, 1 into L green, 1 into yellow. Then used a piece of wire in between. I have fat fingers and arthritis and had trouble getting the L green end in good. What I actually did the piece of wire between the 2 positaps is a bit heavier guage. But I carefully fit the wire in before hand and got it molded I to each end good and carefully took apart then tapped the yellow, then tap light green then gently fit the jumper in between. Just have to remember to put the end pieces on the jumper. Jez man I feel for ya. I hope this works.

I know it's so small of wire. Can you see if it actually poked it. I found holding wire tight and then piercing so it doesn't bunch up. I know easier said than done !!!

Also you will see in my pic fan the copper strands out a bit for when they go into connector they go evenly around the connection point.

Hmmm, sorry this isn't working for you. I am stumped as to why it's not going out. I am out of ideas, maybe some others may add.some comments. All I can think is.mayne.the yellow.wire.doesnt.have.5V when vehicle is running. If you happen to tap the yellow again, put a volt meter on it to see if it has.voltage.

Yes in 18 it did, but this one is a 17..... unless it got the 18 wiring at the switch over. Not sure.

Please forgive this question..... after you tapped it, you plugged the harness back into the the module where it came from. I know it's a given,.but I have to ask

I was def looking at the diagram wrong. The 2017 does have some different color wires, but the yellow is still 5v so it should be pin 5 to 6

This is so weird..... light green/minty green needs 5V of power to trick the system to turn off light. The yellow wire has 5V..... so why is it.not working for him....

Is the positap damaged ???? Like the little pin that pokes the wire....is.it.bent, broke, missing... we are missing something obvious here. It shouldn't be this hard. So many have had success with this....

Well after going back in with a volt meter and checking all connections for 12v ,i found zero at green wire.So with the sun out and being able to see way better, the pin wasnt poking thru the plastic into the copper it seems,so i stripped some off to expose some copper and reattached the posi tap on that spot and it worked. I guess that wire being such a tiny gauge, that the pin just didnt pierce thru all the way. Also i took glove box out and airbag and it makes it WAYYYY easier to see and work on.So anyone that cant fit or get under ,just take 5 mins and remove those pieces and make it a less frustrating job.View with glovebox and airbag removed .THANKS again to all of you who helped me out much appreciated .:thumbsup:DASH.jpg GOOD riddance damn orange light

Hey that's awesome, yep those little pins sometimes don't pierce the wire, especially 22ga. Enjoy the no light on the dash !!! Glad you solved it. Cheers and Beers !!!!

It definitely changed in 2018. I have no 12 pin connector at all. I wonder if there's an info on how to disable it in 2018+

Yes, it did change and I have yet to find anyone who did find it. I guess you could go 2
Different ways that some others have done with success. Pull the 4 tpms sensors and toss inside the spare tire loose, not the best especially if yiu need to use it. Create a sealed pipe cannister (PVC) with a air valve on it , place the tpms sensors inside glue shut, and air it up to proper psi and just leave it in the truck under the seat. I feel for you that light is ANNOYING as hell. Or just good old black tape on the dash screen. I wish I could be more help. Good luck !!!
