DRT FAB “Cab Mount Relocate”

Just got my tracking number they are going out guys!

 

I ordered on April 20th and received my tracking number April 21st. The web site said 4 weeks and I am leaving for 4 weeks so now I gotta find someone to come look for packages for me while I am gone. Well things will be ready to roll when I return!

 

I got hold of the guy this morning and I told him there are people that have been waiting and I will not be able to even touch them for 4 weeks of my travels across the US. He was able to cancel the postage ticket he bought and someone else will get what they were waiting for. Yes you are welcome

 

Received shipping notification. Will ship out 4/26.

 

checking to see if anyone of us got their hands on these yet and got it installed? I should be getting mine in today. Can't wait.

Got my kit today and about to start install now. Noticed both my frame plates have “P” on them. Is anyone else’s like that?

 

Arrows point forward. One is a "P" but I think the other is supposed to be a lowercase "D".

Got the drivers side done today took about 2 hours working off a jack stand. Here are the tools that will make your life very easy.

*Impact and sockets
*Jack and block of wood to jack body up
*Sawzall with the only blade to use “Diablo amped” from Home Depot “thick metal 9”
*Measuring tape and marker
*Angle grinder with the following discs
*Thin cut of wheels i used 2 on the driver
*Flap wheels 40/80/120 grit
* Grinding wheel
*Welder of course
*Paint of your choosing

Do you guys all plan to DIY install these? Curious what a shop would charge if anyone goes that route.

@Mrf1987 did you need to support the cab when you cut off the stock mount?

 

Unfortunately I do not have a garage setup for welding so mine will be outsourced

Hey! Yea i put the truck on jack stands. Then i took a measurement from the ground to a spot on the body, I then put a jack and block of wood on the buddy and jacked it up after removing the body mount bolt. Then i cut the mount and cleaned it all up, lowered the body back down to the measured height and welded the mount on.

 

Ahh smart! Looks like it turned out really nice too.

 

Got mine in the mail the other day and have an appointment to get things installed on June 12th

 

Got them on and worked on the pinch weld. I got it where I want it but I am going to wait and get the tires on before I seal and paint.
