I dunno, that just screams, “I SECRETLY WISH I BOUGHT A DODGE RAM” to me. It reaks of what all the Dodge guys used to do when the RAM transitioned to big-mouth style grille.

Eh ‍♂️ I've never been into dodge's so the thought doesn't even cross my mind. My first Toyota's were 3rd Gen 4runners and this reminds me of the Satoshi grills that people do on those, so I'm a fan. I don't like it as much when the mesh is recessed into the grill though.

I like the Satoshi grilles. I just see this...

    upload_2024-4-29_11-20-41.png

And I reflect back on this being popular 20 years ago, around the same time our trucks were made. I just can't unsee it, because it was so popular back then, everyone was doing it, to the point it's almost cliché cheapo upgrade. I've seen some people on here (@Professional Hand Model comes to mind) who've pulled it off in a less-cheap looking way by applying badges. But in general, I dunno. Just not for me. And I'm not knocking it! People talk shit about me going with gold wheels, IDGAF. It's what I like. I'm not gonna try to be a dick about what you like, only sharing what it reminds me of.

Those grills are probably my least favorite, too. I agree, they aren't hideous or anything and I don't question people for liking them, but they aren't my thing. For me it isn't really the connection to the Dodge look, though I see it. It's just too...uniform or something. The pattern too consistent, and too fine. Not chunky enough.

I remember when this style was popular on a lot of different trucks.

Yeah definitely not a fan of the proportions on that dodge grill. And yeah I didn't take it as you being a dick, so no worries.

After getting used to it over the weekend, I think the stock grill is my favorite. Which means this will be up for sale. What does the internet say for a fair price? It's months old, certainly not new, but very good condition.

Well apparently I have about 3 days left before I can post a for sale ad. If anyone's in the market, be on the lookout for the above grill to be in the marketplace forum.

I think I really like the multi-colored TRD emblem thing on my OEM grill, as shown in the photos of my truck above. But not so much that I wouldn't sell it if someone wanted that thrown back on the TEQ grill. Looks a bit better on there anyway.

Just dropping this in here. It's an "option" I guess. This is the Darryl Waltrip grille on an AC, but with some custom touches I wouldn't personally consider on my truck but to each his own. I think this specific grille looks far better on the newer trucks with plastic lower bumper skin.

Same here. Any luck selling yours? I have one up for sale in Southern California. The stock grill really grew on me so I'm selling this one brand new

We're in the same boat. No interest so far. Had someone reach out through Craigslist but it wasn't the kind of message I usually respond to. I don't think it was a scam but more likely a bored kid.

I'm sure I'd have more luck on FB Marketplace but I'm still not willing to join. $150 (what I'm asking) isn't going to make or break anything for me, so I'm content to wait. Somebody'll eventually want it.

I saw one pop up from a seller in Kennesaw, GA over here a few weeks ago. He started at $75, and I considered buying it. Checked back less than 24hrs later and he upped it to $125 and I noped the fuck out. Saw it float thru my stream a couple days later and he had it up to $175.

I dunno how much he sold it for, or if he even sold it. I'm sure he got hammered at $75, and he would've sat on it for a couple days at $125.

I figure if someone is actually looking for this grill, and sees an almost new one for $150, that'll be enough to start a conversation. I'd like to get it off my hands, and money is always nice, but it's just sitting in the closet out of my way, and like I said, the amount of money it's going to bring in isn't going to change my life, so it can sit.

I'd like to find someone looking for this grill, willing to speak to me like human and work out a price. Someone will come along. Rather than the typical "hey man still got that grill for sale you gotta number??"

I have this picture saved on my phone. I know it's a double cab, but these grills look much better with the outer ring color matched.

I agree, and I think it would look even better still if the center bar was white. I was really close to doing the same at one point, then I kept hearing reports of how flimsy that style of grille was.

Yeah the center on mine is color matched and I like it, although there's not as much contrast between the phantom grey pearl and black. I don't think I've seen a white one with the whole thing color matched yet. The black center bar is more of the OEM style I guess. As far as the sturdiness of it, mine seems fine. Idk if the access cab version is any different.
