OP, have you purchased the RCI skid yet? If so, have you done an oil change with it yet?

Changing your brake fluid as recommended is NOT a bad idea, especially if you do mostly short trips. Brake fluid absorbs moisture, and that can cause you calipers to fail in time. If you disassemble the calipers, you will see rust on the sleeves. I had to replace calipers on my Corolla XRS, and Ridgeline, both of which had over 200,000. My 2 cents for the day.

If you have a FFV and do not run E85 do you still need to change at 5000 intervals?

This is a hotly contested question. I spent all night reading every single thread and post on this subject here on tundras.com. And it looks like there are 10 answers to this question. In no particular order they are:

    1. Yes.
    2. No.
    3. Yes.
    4. No.
    5. Yes.
    6. No.
    7. Yes.
    8. No.
    9. Yes.
    10. No.

Oh. Then I did see an 11th answer. But just once. It was: STFU.

And now a word from our sponsor >>> :crapstorm:

To keep your warranty intact, yes. Otherwise, no.

5000 it is as I'm still under extended warranty. That's doable but with 8 quarts you should be ok at 7500.

I am still under warranty, but I am running 10,000 OCI's. If there is an engine failure, Toyota is going to have to prove that the oil change OCI is what caused it and a UOA will show that this is not the case.
