Last thing I did was install Kenwood HU.

Really clean look. That's out of my price range

 

My only FJ issue is that I don’t have one.

Almost bought one a few year ago. I did not enjoy the visibility. Felt like driving a football helmet. I’m sure you get used to it though.

I’d love to find a beater to build, but dang they’re expensive.

 

Only issue I ever had with this little beast are horsepower....that, and I was doing g constant wind checks on my drives to determine wether it would be a good mpg day, or not so good. Hahaha

 

It was out of my price range too. That’s why it took me eight years to buy it.
I ended up buying it on a 15% off sale

 

Widened my stance so I won’t rub on the Kings when flexing.

Whats shocks would you guys recommend for more daily driving but also for offroading a few times a year. When offroading more like rock crawling but nothing crazy. Also a few fire roads

 

Bilsteins are a popular option. 5100’s. Probabaly around $600

Also OME makes a decent lift for less than $1,000

 

OME is what I have for now.

Do you know if there would be a big difference between Dobinson and OME on the entry level stuff?

 

I don’t know much about the dobi’s.
I do know the OME are solid and last a while.
Toyota like. Solid and reliable!!!

 

I dont know how long mine have been on there since I bought the FJ with them already
