I installed the rear bar and it made a nice improvement in handling. Not sure if I wanna spend in this upgrade since I already have a sway har up front.
Anyone heard of shock tower mount crossbars for the front of our trucks? Wonder if that would help too?

Have the original 02’ TRD front sway bar that was recently reattached after having the rusted sway links replaced. The improvement was instant. Just bought a Hellwig 7700 for the rear for grins and this thing handles like a magnet on the curves.

Couple of reccos. Use lube on the shaft sway bushings or your spring out of turns will feel sluggish. Do not tighten the sway links bolts to tight.

It probabaly does, but I’m too cheap to buy a torque wrench. I’ll be renting one soon for the carrier bearing replacement. Will proper torque at that time.

I've done the rear sway bar and the 111 lb-ft is the torque spec right from the factory manual and you definitely want to get them to that spec.

The part itself is already heavily discounted when purchased through our online store. The only promo code we have is for a discount off of shipping: FORUM20

It's still good. I just ran a mock ticket, and it discounted the shipping for me.

Does PTR62 0c180 (TRD) fit on the 2010 SR5 Crewmax with TRD offroad package?

I’m about to order a front bar but I bought the truck with no front sway bar or hardware. Does this replace all existing parts or do I have to order the bolts, nuts, bushing and brackets? Thanks

All you get is the sway bar. Toyota sent mine unboxed to the dealer. It got scratched up.

I just installed mine on Friday. You use existing hardware. Just replace the bar. Very easy install once you get the skid plate off.

Torque specs. Note. Do the 111 lbs-ft bolt before putting back into truck. No room to torque it when it’s on the vehicle.

for the directions on the rear sway bar it says you can be +/- 12 lb-ft I’m not sure if this would apply to the front bar as well. I would always put on a few extra just to be safe if any bolts loosen up over time.

For those who installed this, did you find it easier to install with the tundra on the ground (tires installed obviously) or with the tundra on jack stands and tires removed?

I installed this on the ground and with the skid plate in place. Took thirty minutes with air tools.

Don't do it with the skid plate on unless you want to risk scratching it up. The bar weighs 29 pounds.

I installed the TRD front sway bar on my 2012 Crewmax long ago and noticed an immediate difference.
