I have a one month old 24 tundra limited nightshade edition. Love the truck. Was cleaning it and realized there are about 1/4 in gaps in the weather stripping by the rear windows. Made an appointment with service department has anyone had this problem and did Toyota fix it?

Yeah, it’s a common issue, but your gaps look bigger than mine…

Yeah, it's pretty common, mine looks identical. I think others have had them replaced and they still end up with the gap. Cut it twice and it's still too short.

I just have vision of a waterfall inside the door when it rains. Don’t want moisture to ruining the window motors and speakers

There’s always water going down inside the door when it rains or you wash the truck. That is why there’s a plastic seal underneath the inner door trim that seals off the interior, and drains along the bottom edge of the door.

Every single Tundra from 22 and on has it. We all think it’s abnormal, but Toyota calls it normal. It would of been changed by now if It was a design flaws. Enjoy your truck I’m sure it’s a beauty!!!

Yup I have it on my 24. I looked at all the others on the lot when I bought and they all had it too.

Went to the dealership service department they said the same thing as was posted in the previous fhreads. They even showed me two other Tundras with the same gap. Oddly enough I saw the same thing on a 2016 Tacoma. In my neighborhood. So I will just forget about it and drive the heck out of the truck. Thanks all for your help. .
