    ya man!!!

Im so used to totally shit ass MPG with my 2016 5.7, that I can boost the shit out of this thing on winter blend and still get better than the 5.7 I had lol.

I had one of the ones that was just a pig no matter what you did, some were like that and some could "reportedly" get better than rated 13/17

This is my first booster, always had V-8s, except for my Tacoma. I wanted a Tundra back in Gen 2 but that 13/17... oof. I would have felt guilty... and poorer... driving it, so I just couldn't go there... and a Tacoma suited my needs anyway. But then I also had a 1978 TransAm back in the day that got 12-13 MPG on a good day... 400 cid, 4 speed with no overdrive. Even on the highway with its 21 gal tank I'd have to stop before 200 miles. It was like the fuel tank had a leak.

Was did you have done to the Supra?

I had a T-66 powered 2G AWD DSM. AEM EMS and full support. Was running a clipped P trim on the hot side and had 2, 2-216 Spearco's stacked on the cold side. LOL Also had an FD RX7 that was built by Pettit Racing I bought from a good friend. It was stupid quick. Heavy street port, Tokico coilovers, full everything. It was stinky, loud and idled rough as hell. Couldn't sneak up on anyone in that thing. It ran a 7.90 in the 1/8th with a granny launch and junk 2.2 60 foot. After I grabbed second it was go dogs go. Trapped at 92-93 mph.

I could never get that 17 in any of my tundra 5.7s no matter what I did on the highway.

I have already seen over 20 on this one without even trying.

Im not much of a MPG dude though, I like the V8 rumble, full throat or boost now. My Hemi 350 Ram with a Borla rumbled like a mofo, music to my ears

Here a cold start super rich for the gas sippers, HAHA

i'm one of those who gets much better than rated. I blame it on the CO elevation changes and ability to coast a lot and maintain speed

The really fun boosted one to ride in was a friend's heavily modified Buick GNX. That thing would smoke the tires on the all the upshifts if you weren't extremely careful. I wonder if he still has it.

I like the rumble, too, but not enough to go GM or Ram with my current truck. Back in the day... not as far as that TransAm... I had a Flowmaster welded on my 1994 Z28. That sounded fantastic, except it had a resonance at certain RPMs that was very annoying in the cabin. Made me wish that I had got the Borla instead. My current 2016 Vette has a great rumble with the pipes open. I use that to get my rumble fix, then just sit back and enjoy the quiet Tundra most other days.

Nice, have had over 20 supras in my life, several mr2 turbos and I will always love turbos. Still have my mkiv Supra fully built 1000 rwhp that i will keep forever. Regret selling the mr2 turbos.

    Food for thought:
EPA Hwy/City ratings are cycles conducted on dynamometers with highly confined test parameters so a consumer can compare vehicles in an apple-to-apple comparison (ahem).
Hwy: avg speed is 48 mph
    Hwy: distance is 10.3 miles
City: avg speed is just shy of 20 mph
City: distance analyzed is 7.5 miles
Both cycles accelerate, decelerate and continually change velocity for the entire time on the dynamometer.
    - Are the cycles antiquated? YEP.
    - Do automakers know the cycle inside/out and alter their shifting, emissions controls, etc accordingly?
    :monocle:
(Here's lookin' at you VW/Audi diesels of yesteryear... although, I really miss my Touareg TDI)

However, take a look at your average speed on the infotainment screen the next time you drive... you'll be surprised how low your average speed likely is, despite racing that Uber Eats dude beside you or setting the cruise at 80mph.

Agree with this. Haven't looked at the Tundra yet but the wife's CX5 is at around 35MPH after 80,000 miles. I would have thought all of the highway miles we put on it would have made it higher.
