GEN 3 (2022+) Wheels and Tires Photo thread

How are you liking the 17" wheel. I went down to a 17" on my last gen Tundra to get a bigger tire look, other than not being able to get a wheel brush behind the brake caliper to clean it was great

 

LT295/65R20 Nitto Ridge Grapplers on OEM rims.

 

Happy to see this fits with stock suspension. I was thinking of 17 or 18" on stock until i decide on level/lift. looks good. Are you still liking it

Those tires are huge, I would be worried about hitting a bump, the suspension compressing and the tires tearing up the fenders. Hows the hit to mpg?

 

@ColoradoTJ - Didn’t this used to be sticky? I had hard time finding it. EDIT- I see, this is not in the Gen 3 forum, where I was searching. I’ll wonder if that’s why so many new tire threads in there.

Are the mild peaks really only 37 lbs? The new KO’s are 63. Math is hard, 26 lbs difference seems wrong. 188 miles on them.

 

Had to get rid of the butt ugly factory rims.

 

Thanks. This was on Icon 3.5 front lift and 2 rear lift. Lots of cutting. Also had a diff drop and beefed up tie rods. The truck handled it well.

I’m always seeing the AGP pro-replica wheels on Facebook marketplace. They look nice, obviously aluminum however, but are they trash?

 

Replicas, they are pretty cheap already as far as wheels, lol

 

The OEM pro wheels are cheap?

 

I have a blueprint as well, same tires or new ones? Also what wheels are those?

In the world of wheels, yes, they are less expensive.


Most expensive wheel on their site was $319.

 

I see the confusion, I read your original post as the replicas of the AGP pro wheels, not as replicas of the OEM wheels. I was wondering why anyone would replicate a wheel that is relatively cheap, lol

Hey everyone, I have a 2024 Tundra SR5 premium (no OR pkg) with 18” wheels right now.

I’m switching to 17” Method 305s wrapped in 285/75/17 KO3s. For people who have done similar (18 to 17”), what did you do for the 5th wheel spare? I’m currently having a tough time finding a 17” wheel that will fit the 22-24 (different bore size).

I found a 2023 4Runner steelie, but it’s only 17x7J, and I don’t believe it will fit the 285/75/17s.

 

Can't you just change the tire on the spare

 

I’ve thought about this… didn’t do the actual comparison though - they are very similar in size, but I wasn’t sure if there was a “risk” to your diff.

Forgive the ignorance lol, still learning.

 

Should be safe if your just driving to get a replacement tire, wouldn't recommend driving around all week on the spare

 

Got ya, then I have some thinking to do.

I do drive fire roads sometimes in remote areas. That’s why I was originally leaning towards full size spare.

 

Raceline 951MC Ryno wheels, 18x9 with +18 offset. Toyo AT3 in 35/12.5r18. Readylift 3" lift kit. I think that I actually want to keep the chrome 'stache now.

 

Sorry, been away for a few.

I had just put those tires on my 2019 SR5 when I got the bug for my new truck. So I swapped the tires over to the new truck. I put the anemic A/T factory tires on my old truck and sold it. The newer tires are Nitto Recon Grappler A/T in 275/60R20. The wheels are Raceline.

 

Method 316 in gloss titanium. 17x8 +25 offset with 35” KO2s no lift. Gloss titanium looks awesome with the lunar rock in my opinion. Crunched my front bumper on a rock earlier in the year so I “viper” cut both sides to get rid of the damage, I don’t love the look but plan on getting an after market bumper. I will say the bumper cut does seem to allow for more wheel clearance which is nice. Will be installing Fox 2.0 front shocks once they are delivered.

 

This looks great, exactly what I want to do. Do you have a full side profile pic of the truck? And did you notice any difference in handling or ride quality? Thanks.
