Is he having issues with the AFE filter collapsing under boost, or another brand? They’re a lot thicker and more rigid than other filters it seems.

I was kind of wondering about this but figured that by now any issue would've been addressed already. I was comparing my AFe Dry vs a TRD oiled last weekend, and the TRD one was super flimsy compared to the AFe.

    sub'd....;)

Interesting. Last time I checked mine everything looked great. If you don’t keep it clean I could see any filter getting sucked in though.

Guess I need to duct tape the go pro inside the intake box and go for a few rips lol. I just cleaned it also after the dune runs over the weekend.

Ok thought so. You shouldn’t buy the future AFE intake unless the MAF housing is larger than stock diameter.

For sure. But if they are r&d'ing it off a s'c already I have plenty of confidence it will be. The AFE Momentum GT for the tacoma was larger than stock and required some tuning also.

That sounds so badass! Almost enough to make me want a hot air intake, just an open cone filter lol. Would run like crap but would sound sweet.

A couple of pages back, a few of you posted some 0-60 times.

I was able to dig up some times from car magazines for comparison (although they have the shortest and lightest Tundra available)
    0-60 - 4.7 seconds
    Quarter mile - 13.5 seconds
    https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/a16581255/toyota-tundra-trd-supercharged-first-drive-review/

Motor trend states 0-60 in 4.4 seconds
    https://www.motortrend.com/reviews/2008-toyota-tundra-trd-supercharged-test/

Stock tundra (double cab, not single cab) runs 6 seconds 0-60 and around 14.7 in the quarter mile
    https://www.caranddriver.com/review...4-double-cab-sr5-57l-v-8-long-term-road-test/

This is with the TRD supercharger which neutered HP by 50? compared to the Magnussen and Stage 2 Harrop.

I expect better 0-60 times from you guys! I know there are a lot of variables and how times are reported, just busting your chops here. :burnrubber:

Wish mine would whine at all. My Tacoma screamed. My Tundra I can't hear a thing. Pre-headers I could hear a tiny bit of whine. From what I've read the newer style SC's are just super efficient and therefore don't make as much noise. I should do like an electric car and just play a whine through my speakers.

If my truck was 100% stock off the showroom floor like the test vehicles, but had the supercharger and related mods installed I think I’d hit those numbers. Heavier larger tires and add ons, and all that necessary crap I keep in there at all times really adds up in extra weight!

I’ve seen some say the TRD advertised power numbers are under rated. I also think the magnuson numbers are overstated since they probably took the time to dial in a good tune on the engine they used for their advertising numbers, but their canned tuned for most trucks leaves a lot to be desired. The power on the TRD/Magnuson all comes down to the tune since the blower is otherwise the same.
