Just adding to my confidence level... Lol, can't wait for a mile high difference from a blower... Sounds like a dirty deed done dirt cheap on an airplane, but y'all know what I'm saying...

ok - dropping the truck off Tuesday for Gauges & Dyno.

They will use HPT, so, what do I ask for as it relates to cleaning up the shifting? What the vernacular?

I want to firm up 1-2 shift.

Best upgrade I've done yet. Added a daily driver so the Tundra doesn't need to get beat up on road trips. Although I've already swapped rims on it, from a 22 Civic SI, and it's already at my friends car audio shop for the week. But other than that she's just gonna get driven.

so the gauges are in, but no dyno. had them finish my catch can as well...life got in the way.

they* are moving to a bigger shop & the dyno is tore-down and in transit.

so, he will datalog to let me know the tune is decent.

and.....since D3 tuned it, this shop can't mess with the tune. (just like y'all told me)

since my present tune is working quite nicely, he will confirm the AFR's are decent or not.

he also said the Toyota OBD AFR #'s are accurate to about 12.2, then they get hairy. confirmed what y'all said...lower reporting limit is 11.9

AEM gauges are the most accurate/fast they they have seen....so that's what I got.

    might pick it up today.

*Pietz Performance - they installed my Harrop.

the '34 Ford is out of the shop & smokin' now. the electric choke was stuck closed. so, they bypassed it, and left it open. it just want's to spin the tires. 435hp on 2100lbs.

Whipple install update. Slow going as whipple missed the ball on some parts for the install. Hoping it’s done this week and tuning next week

Damn, looks like nothing changed since the last Whipple install video I saw. Sorry to hear about the delays.

It’s interesting. I used to sell and install a ton of whipple kits back in the day never had an issue. Must be in recent years.

There were some issues with the late model kits. Most were configured for 2018s and below. The video I saw had missing/wrong hardware for a 2020 and missing instructions and some other parts.

Stolen from Facebook, this one was torn down from failed couplers. This is the Whipple HX which is one panel installed over the intake pan.

I put the ikh24 plugs gapped at .022 in this morning from the oem .043 plugs I was babying the truck on for a week... holy shiz. Way more responsive, smoother, feels like double the power, and quieted the engine down a lot. Few more revisions involving the trans and shift points via Prospeed and then I'll get the dragy runs in while I'm in Mexico.

So did you just clean or replace your MAF and this went away? Are you using an oiled filter? Just curious as I just installed an oiled filter while I wait for a new AFE to come in for my Maggie box.

Hard to say if the oiled K&N filter was "the issue" but I suspect it was part of the problem which is why I removed it. Too many other variables to pinpoint it as the singular cause. Short of it is I cleaned the MAF the first time I tripped the code and it cleared the code for over a year with no issues.

This time around I ended up ordered a new MAF sensor to eliminate the sensor as the issue. Planning to eliminate the second coupler and connector pipe and replace the whole tube with one section to eliminate any possibility of weird turbulence issues. I'm still waiting on a my new custom intake tube to ship. I may replace the O2 sensors for good measure before going in for a retune.

I made an offer on that Craigslist Maggy, he's thinking about it. It's missing the intercooler, I assume there are better options than the Maggy? Assuming I get it, what IC do I want for Phoenix summers?

Call superchargers online and ask them what they charge for the stock Maggy intercooler. The Toyota TRD one is $700+. I'm using the FrozenBoost 101 as my only intercooler, or at least will be soon, which is $200 + extra mounting and connectors costs

Just a heads up, put some protection on this fitting while you have the grill off. It will rust quick, I have to remove my grill in the spring and paint mine.

Ya, that's the Seatrab 20-row trans cooler. Had to flip it around backwards and get creative in order for everything to fit

Getting some logging done with the Maggie box and SABM. Thought you guys would find it interesting that with the stock box I was at 7psi and would flash 8 occasionally. With the new intake it sits steady at 8psi from 4500rpm+ and now flashes 9psi near redline. The blower whine also seems to be louder. Sweet!

Side note, stretching the Harrop rubber tube over the Maggie box inlet is a massive PITA but got it done lol.

Ya it is.. if I take it off now I remove it from the throttle body side and leave it attached to the airbox

That’s exactly how I plan on doing it. That and getting the air box lid closed was also a struggle. Really had to force it toward the TB. Also, my last data log showed hitting 5.0v right at redline. I do have the honeycomb installed. If I removed it I think I’d probably not hit the 5v at all, possibly at the slight sacrifice of a less precise MAF reading and fuel trims.
