Howdy boys and girls. Just picked up a new Magnuson 2650 and should be all set for install M/T!
stumbled upon this thread and wow! So much info and very nicely out together.
Who’s running the Maggie 2650? Any issues or tips I need to know about?

    Welcome home. Haha
    Here's some light reading:

    Others will chime in.
The canned tune is lacking and can run lean afr's at wot. With the stock engine we tend to keep afr's in the 10 range which is pig rich to keep the ring lands cool, they have tight tolerances and if not kept in check can cause permanent issues.
Take the boost reference plug out before installing or at least loosen it for your boost gauge.
A wideband afr/ boost gauge ( AEM or Innovate)is advisable to monitor what's going on.

    Congrats!!
I made a thread for my install... something like ' magnuson 2650 ordered 9/15' or thereabouts.
There are a few items I'd recommend buying (gaskets) as the mag kit says to re-use existing gaskets. Coolant crossover comes to mind, as does intake manifold gasket.
I'd skip the mag tune and jump to custom tune right away.
AFR gauge needed if tuning and just for peace of mind.

    good luck!!

Good idea to have some lower fuel injector seals on hand. They tell you to reuse the stock ones but if you loose or damage one you're stuck.

Wideband O2 sensor, like everyone else said

Good call on injector seals. I pinched one installing my injectors and had to pull an old one off the stock injectors during install.

Welcome, I'd suggest every gasket, have a tube of Toyota gasket maker, AFR/Boost (or one of each) and in my case a fuel pressure gauge was a must (kept having fuel pressure issues)

If installing yourself, make sure you have the hose between the pump & gasket firmly attached, (5 tank drops are my hell) and once dialed in, be prepared to never stop smiling (oh and if you are as immature as I am be ready to tear off the line at most times)

    Because sniv doesn't do enough!

    Lol

Thats who im going through. And yes they can use the rtd that comes in the kit. Most the guys here like to tweek their stuff on their own so they get a different setup. Ill leave the ecu stuff to the guys that know that stuff better lol

One day I'll drink too much and order one. And it'll sit on my desk until the 2650 shows up later this year. I was tempted when you brought it up earlier.

I'm between 5400 and 9000 ft and I think the Sniv 80 is going to work out best for me. I love my truck and don't want to blow shit up.

Yeah im running his 76mm im at 7k ft but we travel usually twice a year and wanted to be on the safer side wjen dropping elevation. Everyone says I should be fine to not be in high rpm or wot too long.
Wanted to be safer with an 80 but it seems not enough intrest. Everyone seems to want to make race trucks

Hey, if I can’t at least smoke a raptor then what is even the point of the supercharger? I’d rather just go buy the big slow 3/4 ton I should probably have lol.

Any links to a good wideband gauge?
Are they all the same or are they truck specific?
