No, I don't save all of the logs, maybe five at the most at a time.

 

Ok ordered the Lexus coils from rockauto denso units. Going to also throw in some fresh o2’s while it’s apart.

My first time installing an AFR gauge on a 2.5 Gen (2021). I'm not a fan of the options out there, so came up with this:







Little more dialing in, but so far has turned out absolutely awesome! Only took six revisions to make it fit how I wanted. And it's a single piece of flat patterned sheet metal.

Sign me up! Caveat: no squeaks or rattles and the dial can be turned to split the difference between the HVAC and shifter.

So far it seems squeak and rattle free, there's rarely a noise that might be coming from the back right corner of the mount so going to do some trimming tomorrow to see if that stops it. Can move the gauge where ever you want, I biased it higher since it's at a 45 degree angle so thought the wires would package better not coming out right next to the floor of it.

 

Thanks Mike! I have a whole stack of prototypes where I would move stuff 1/8" trying to dial it in. I wanted it as close to factory looking as I could. I need to go back in tomorrow and clean up the plastics and some of the mount since stuff got scratched a bit trying to get this in. Getting the fitment so tight is a blessing and a curse when it comes to assembly!

I searched their site and the Lexus 8AR FTS, 90919-02269 coils did not show up.

 

The part number I searched came from my eBay purchase

Seeing as the oem is a denso also I think the rock autos should be good. If yall didn’t lie to me about rock auto that is lol

 

According to Jowett it's Lexus 90919-02269 or denso 673-1206. The Denso cross-references to the 02269.

 

I was just referring to the part number you posted for the link to that AZ dealership. You showed the 90919-02260 instead of the 90919-02269

Weird tuning experience with a 2021 today, and about shit myself. Uploading a tune revision at a gas station 1.5 hours from the house, and only halfway to the customer drop off. HP Tuners says it flashed it and go to start it and it just cranks, acting like there's no fuel whatsoever. I have no idea what's going on, and try to flash it again and get a controller error. I've essentially concluded it just bricked, but I go back to my basic checklist of things and restart and replug everything, and I flash the previous tune just fine!

I get near the customers house, and decided to do all the tuning there in case it shits itself again at least I'm close. No issues. Drop off at customers house, and as we're leaving decide to do one final tune to really dial in the fuel trims from the last log. Truck does the same thing it did at the gas station, but this time I'm less freaked out so flash the same tune over again and it takes it.

What the common denominator seems to be from these two fucky flashes and the ones that were fine? I opened/closed the door during the fucky flashes. Open/closes going into the gas station, and then closed the door during the flash at dudes house. Really weird, never heard of or seen that happen. More imperative than I thought to touch absolutely nothing during the flash!

 

At this point I pretty much just stand there frozen, holding my breath and thinking happy thoughts until it says the flash was successful

 

I haven't heard of this with the newer trucks but know earlier models required door open during certain testing/programming.
If door is open it stays open and vice versa, windows too.

 

I wonder, was that a push-to-start truck? Maybe that's something related to security? But ya, pucker factor there, huh. About all the braver I get is that I'll leave the radio playing at a low volume. I've never opened/closed the door though, I'm afraid that I'd knock the cord out of the OBD port, or yank the cord out of the laptop.
