Fluid was never over temp but lots of load damp sand, 37s, low psi, big hp it’s inevitable

Yeah that's a load on the transmission. Maybe they have one on the shelf....:D

Got a few folks I know running the IPT setup and having issues. Just spoke to John over there no doubt he knows what he’s talking about. But speaking to my buddies and their issues hard to put them in the running

That is the transmission the PS Turbo Tundra was running and couldn't hold anywhere near the power it claims. I don't remember the exact number but I think they state it in the video.

I knew of a few instances of people not following procedure and getting p2757 codes. Some 1-2 shifting or ecu related stuff that eventually eased up. What other issues and did John try to help out?

Torque converter taking a dump after 200 miles, old parts in the trans that were supposed to be new. etc and no assistance. Both trans still having problems one not staying in gear. And he's MIA. Again just from what they've told me from their experience.

Just off the phone with level10 the highest crank hp they currently support is 750hp. But he's going to send me some forms and talk internally if they can come up with higher hp options.

Anyone ever have map sensor issues with innovate? Truck sat for a few days now shows 40psi boost all the time

    What, 40psi isn’t enough for you..? :D
Try disconnecting power from the unit, then reconnect. Else, inspect wiring - maybe a critter chewed on it.

Might be a little too much

Nothing obvious wrong... Called innovate and they said sitting at 43psi means map sensor died. Should be under warranty

Ironically this was a standout story I remember hearing about but for Level 10, not IPT. I was always under the impression IPT was the better option. I don’t know what to believe!

There is a shop here that had no luck with Level 10, not sure if that’s the same as what you remember though.

Seems now a days it's hard to find people who care. I know John from IPT was the biggest POS when I asked him 1 simple question about the valvebody separator plates. On Google, Level 10 has 4.6 rating. In FB they have a 64% out of 100 recommendation rating. On Google IPT is 4.4. No FB page.

That's how I remember it too, we probably read the same forum post somewhere. Plus a few stories of level 10 shifting rough/overly aggressive.

When I was on the GM/LS side, our troubles where the special 4L60-65-70E transmissions. There was always issues with the more popular trans rebuilders. There was 1 guy that had a small shop and built them really good. He never advertised his trans as being able to hold xxx amount of power. The others always advertised them by how much HP they could hold. Most of these companies had upwards of 4, 5 or 6 levels. That 1 guy never advertised based HP apparently because how one person treats a, say 800hp truck, isn't always the same as the next guy with 800hp truck.

I heard the IPT shifted hard from @snivilous from findings the level10 valve body mods were less harsh. My research found that essentially all these use probably the same rebuild kits and clutches. The input shafts or other shafts don't get touched by IPT but level10 does upgrade those. Both offer a heavy duty converter but not sure what that means internally yet.

In the 4L trans, the shafts where a big issue. They were garbage and snapped easily. The tundra is no where nearly used as much for racing as Silverados, so hard to say if the shaft need to be replaced. As for rebuild parts and clutches, I am sure is stuff off the shelf. IPT used Sonnax and Trans Go kits for his VB. Same kit I used this past weekend to do my VB. His hard shifts probably come from the springs he uses on the accumulator pistons.

My IPT valve body doesn't shift hard in 1-2 and runs well. I know John can come across harsh at times. Seems like IPT and level 10 have similar issues, 50/50 who you want to build it.

I helped 2 people with IPT transmission issues. John offered new torque converters in both situations even though one was user error.

I was advised about this too when inquiring about IPT vs Level 10. At first I chalked it up to Rona supply chain shortfalls but it appears this was occurring before and after the Rona issues.

I think I asked you before. But was it you that had to readjust the 1-2 shift. I know John has people change something to smooth it out. I also know that our VB for some reason unknown to me, come with 2 valves that are adjustable. I know for taking mines apart. 1 valve has 3 setting, the other one has like 6 if recall. One is the line pressure valve. Can't think of the other one.

John says to leave line stock pressure as set by Toyota. I had it turned up and can lead to leakage by the, I believe, SLU accumulator. You could opt to use stock springs in the b2 and c3 accumulators. Some people had no effect on springs used. Also for some strange anomaly some valve bodies have a bit more on the 1-2 shift. But his shop does them all the same with same parts. I think level10 has same issue. Weird stuff.
