This right here is the true key to a peaceful and successful marriage...

We 'handle business' out of our shared account and then we each have our own bank accounts. No awkward conversations; no 'justifying' purchases; no one feels guilty for buying something unnecessary or for treating themselves; no feeling like you've got to 'hide' money, etc....

    WIN / WIN :muscleflexing:

I also "improve" my wife's vehicles to how I'd love to drive them and she's mostly happy about this...though, there isn't an understanding on costs and maintenances...that's my puzzle to deal with :cookiemonster:

Older transmissions weren’t being subjected to the abuse. Also, annual could mean 10k or 20k miles. My last Chevy was every 20k and that worked out to annual.

Then there’s also my parents that didn’t realize you needed to change transmission fluid and they’ve never lost a transmission so there’s that.

Totally based on use case- I'll probably move to 10-15k intervals depending on how the wheeling shapes up during the year.

Honestly, for the price of DexIII, you could change it 2x a year and still end up ahead of an every other year with Toyota WS.

Yep, I have a 2006 Tacoma with 315K miles and I've never touched trans oil. At this point, I never will. Also original coolant and hoses, brake fluid, and power steering fluid. Only parts ever failed on this truck were Alternator and 1 front wheel bearing.

I will not be treating the Tundra this way.

This is true! We have separate accounts so she won't see the $ but she is perceptive and will feel the shifts and ask, "what did you do now?!?!?" Followed by "was it a lot of money?" But she believes that the maggy was only $3600 so.....

    MIRACLE!!!

Got it back, it feels good, have not gone all out, want to get logs to Sniv & then see whats what.

The O2 code is the heater, P0031 I suppose it is possible it happened to die now but all 4 are about 8 months old, ordered an NGK from NAPA, should be at the store at 4. So happy to have it in the driveway!

Had to get bird seed at Wallyworld. Valvoline gal for $21. Only had 3 so grabbed them. I have 15 quarts of idemitsu to return at Napa so that will cover the drain/rinse/fill. Will order a filter/strainer just because...

    Agree w/doing this as well...

Wife got a new Forester a couple of years ago, and the first thing we did is throw in some Husky liners and DD SS3 Pro fogs and she was like, 'Holy shit those things make a difference'... it's called 'suggestive buy-in' :notsure: I just made that up, but it sounds good, right???

Morning, gentlemen! I don't suppose anyone that can read logs can look at mine & tell me if I am ok driving just under 800 miles to L.A. in the morning? Sniv is on a well deserved outing.

No active or pending/permanent codes? If you never got your tune updated for the 750's, the ECU is probably pulling a lot of fuel, so I wouldn't get rowdy with it until the tune is updated. But if no codes, I think you could get away with a leisurely drive.

It has only had a few drive cycles so all of the codes are permanent. :(

It now has weird Hewett not working P1614 & 13 which is super weird as I don't have the Hewett kit & never had a air pump issue/it's not in limp mode/has no current cels

I wouldn't have confidence that something else wouldn't happen along the way, case in point the new codes.

I'm 100% confidant, there will be more codes, my concern is will I hurt the engine.

If you stay out of boost, it shouldn't hurt the engine, might end up tripping a code that causes limp mode. Gas mileage will probably be worse than renting a u-haul to go get it.

If air pumps are from new engine you don't know their condition.
Are fuel trims high? Timing feedback? Timing being pulled higher than 5ish? Afr's good? Any anomalies you see compared to old logs?shouldn't.
1614 harness for pumps good? Shorted
    1615 immobilizer code? Or AIP

Pumps are from the truck, I don't know how to read the logs so I don't know about the data in them.

I'd love to email them to you if you would let me.

If they make it for the 1900, I'll buy one.
