My WG P226 is probably one of my most accurate.

    My Gen 2 G21 shoots like a 22.
    A light ker-plunk, ker-plunk recoil..
Had the slide & barrel refinished in electroless nickel but running OEM black parts..:D

I finally got a Gen4 G21 a couple months ago, very fun!! I took my Springfield Operator 1911 to the range when I bought the 21, the 21 had a nice push just enough to let you know it's a .45acp

I stumbled across this Sig 220 SAO and thought it was a Carry model, a gun that I’ve been trying to track down for a few years. In my excitement I failed to realize it is a full size model. Paid for it and had it shipped to my FFL, when I opened the case I knew right away I had made a mistake, but it was my mistake and I’ll live with it. Good news is I have secured a Carry model, just waiting on the FFL information to ship. Not sure what I’ll do with this one, but it doesn’t take up much space in the safe.

Check the build link in my signature.
Carry vs Full is just a matter of slide and barrel length. You could make that one a carry pretty easily with a little time sourcing the parts. But since you found one, shouldn’t be too hard to sell that one for pretty much what you paid

Agreed, but carry slides may has well be up there with hens teeth. I could wait 4-6 months and cross my fingers, or jump on the one I should have had I seen it first.

Good news is the full size came with a Sig .22 conversion kit. Not something I want, I could sell it to help offset my mistake. The carry model does come with an abundance of magazines too. Will be set other than ammo.

Anyone have a CZ pistol they purchased recently?

I have been looking at a retirement gift to myself. Custom CZ Shadow 2 will put me back a few grand.

One thing to consider with the "Carry" is that the slide is just a tiny bit wider than that full sized version. You won't notice until the first time you go to holster the Carry version in a kydex style holster. Some will fit it the carry fine, some will be pretty tight and some won't fit at all. Just a fyi...

It looks like someone was too aggressive with it weakening those bits of metal and it got so prominent up top that maybe sliding back and fourth under the charging handle was enough to cause fractures? Might want to check the charging handle for damage.

Mine are all flat on top even with the staking, none of it sticks up.

If you are paying a few grand for a CZ I would highly recommend looking at a Staccato P.

If you are going Ballz out, look at an Infinity.

I got a little crazy on the customizing on the CZ. In reality a 1200.00 CZ would be ordered.

I do like the Staccato P and for the price is a great option. Thanks for the suggestion.

The Infinity...I would not spend 8400.00 on a pistol. Way too many other stupid hobbies to blow that wad on.

if you go...please report back on what type of guy buys a $200k shotgun.

and do you shoot it? or hang it on a wall?

My Browning 725 hits clays with the best of them.

now...considering my accuracy, or lack thereof, that 4 barrel shotgun would be "helpful".

I slapped the "block 2" upper on my 6920 that was posted a couple of days ago. I've got a Colt bcg in the mail just need a lower receiver for this upper. It's a brand new Colt cage code receiver and Colt 14.5 socom barrel. Thinking of an Eotech XPS3 eventually for this build.

I had a West German P220 years ago.
Cardboard box, test target, and all..
It was big and clunky for an 8+1, but it shot very well..
Sold it off in a caliber consolidation, looking back I should have kept it.
Now I've got a ton of 45ACP and just the Glock 21 to run it.

    P220box1_zps7d9e2417_172b6e5b7e37bebaadbed2913023655b640f40e5.jpgP220testtarget_zps153e858d_f158b73b8dbecdfa881ac5ecf6dae5d7e8b965ca.jpgP2203_zps61007db2_91122061e7b859eb2b75aaf675eb3b383377a280.jpg

Probably should have kept the P225 as well.
But I didn't fit my grip and I wanted something else.
Back in those days of not having much money, I sold my least favorite to buy something else.
I probably bought 2 Glocks for what I sold it for.....

Stirring up memories here. I too have parted ways with multiple W German Sigs over the years. There for a while they were fairly easy to find, not today. A decent P6 could be had for $299, 225 for about $100 more and nice examples of 228s were common in the $500 range. Looong gone are those days. I still have a W German 225, the BDavis mag plate makes the difference on that gun.

I’m still a Sig fan and carry a 365, but meh… they don’t make them like they used too sadly.

    No, they do not.
When Sig Sauer went crazy with offering 20 variations of the same pistol, the quality control went to shit and I lost interest.
    I mean who doesn't want a rainbow P239? :confused::rolleyes:

I've bought and sold more Sigs (or firearms for that matter) than I can remember.
For years I only had a WG P228 and P226.
Still have the P226, gave the P228 to my daughter as a wedding present.
Although I did buy P365XL, I haven't had much range time with it.

    3cdoejug_4d21f0b3222b6c9d8f411f89f248f79cc92753c0.jpg

Had to send the ROMEO back to Sig to replace as warranty work when it was brand new.
I've had the replacement for 3 months, but it still sits on my desk to be installed...:D

Glad you like it. Compared to other pistols you own, how does it measure up?

It’s fast and accurate right out of the box and I don’t feel the need to upgrade anything on it.

Whatcha got? I've got a crooked barrel!

    1.png

Welded a rig to measure run out:

    2.png

Second derivative told the barrel is not bent, but rather thermally warped. Like an oil drop or something while it was cooling. Tried to straighten it by smacking against a wood log.

    3.png

0.007" is better than 0.043" it was. Requested a replacement barrel from the manufacturer. It came not straight, too:

    4.png

That one was bent in two spots, I managed to straighten it to 0.003". Going for even lower numbers is possible, however it seems I've burnt all of my oak logs, was able to find only elm, which is a bit too hard for getting a low run out.

    Result:

This is unregulated air gun (pressure drops, slugs fly lower) with heavy trigger, shot in high wind with gusts. 1 inch group at 50 is good enough for deer.

I love my 365XL except Sig can't seem to find me a front night sight that doesn't burn out prematurely. P320 is fine, all my Glocks are fine. G26 still burning strong after 8 years. Needing to order a 2nd replacement front in about 3 years for the 365xl. They're like crappy cheap light bulbs on this gun. Thinking I'm going to have to go to a complete aftermarket set.
