Thanks! I’m kinda lovin it too. I’m about to start putting miles on her. I’m quitting my job and starting retirement, so I’ll be without a company truck.
The Tundra has less than 8500 miles right now and still has a little bit of “new car” smell.

    @Almaboy
Mark, I gave notice last week. I’m gonna turn in my truck, computer, and office keys on Friday morning and catch a ride home with my wife.
The VP and division Manager want to take me out for cigars and whiskey on Wednesday night, easily a $300.00 evening.

You deserve a great send off! You’re a stellar man and you should appreciate the recognition. Proud of ya, buddy

I hope to enjoy my retirement sooner than later. Maybe our porch sitting will happen in OR since I wasn’t able to get down your way in the fall

It’s really not that hard. Mine is secured to the factory bed rails with 4 bolts and I can get it to the ceiling of my garage alone. Just takes some patience and a little grunt work. With help it’s a 15 minute job. A hoist system would make it super easy and I’d probably end up taking it off and putting in on more than twice a year.

I have this hoist system install in my garage and it works really great. Takes about ten minutes to lower and put on and less time to take off and hoist up.

I finally got the softopper on. I think it looks cool but my wife hates it. Driving with it on all the time would not be fun, though. Without windows on the sides there are major blind spots. The blind spots are worse than the FJ I had a few years ago.
    How does it look?

I think it looks really good! The color combo with the cement is kind of cool, in my opinion. Is it easy to remove the SofTopper rails that sit on top of your bed rails, or are they more or less stuck there? I'm seriously considering one of these.

Less than 10 minutes to get the rails on.

Aren't there flat rails/tracks that sit flush with your bed rails, though? If you take the actual canvas topper off (and the frame), aren't there rails/tracks left sitting on top of your bed rails? I'm just wondering if it's easy to get those off.

I would say it takes less time to get them off. Loosen two bolts on each side and the rails are off.

Nice, thanks! I thought I read somewhere that there's an adhesive on those, but I guess you could just not use the adhesive. Thanks for all the pics!

The rails that came with mine only have a foam backing to give a mostly waterproof barrier. It compresses as you tighten the bolts.

Update to the SofTopper install. I already took it off because of the blind spots. To me it seems like it’s more of a put it on when you need it type top.
If it had windows on the sides it would be a much better option to leave it on all the time.
It is definitely well made and a quality product, though.

Road noise didn’t change from stock truck. I didn’t see a change in mpg. I’ve got a heavy foot so it takes a lot to change my 12.5 mpg average over the first 8k miles.

I'm gonna go with some sort of tonneau cover instead of keeping the softopper. I can't handle the blind spots the softopper gives me. If anyone is in the Tampa Bay area let me know if you're interested in a softopper.

I have a 2015 SR5 with an ARE Outlander canopy (sorry no pic). Does anyone know how I can replace the canopy rear door and tailgate with a walk-in style door? (for my dogs). ARE says buy another canopy but I have seen canopies (not ARE) with walk-in doors. Think they would fit an ARE?

Just got my new topper yesterday. Unfortunately it's going to have to be reset. Leaks when it rains, but that can be fixed. Turned out killer!IMG_1068.jpg
