slider pics look great. I cant wait to install my cali raised trail sliders. I went to pick them up last weekend and the rhino coating i got looked really bad. They sent them back for blast and recoating. hoping to get them in a couple weeks. The grip on the sliders with the rhino lining was almost like super glue. The wife and kids will appreciate it, i just couldnt talk myself into the wider versions, so i think the rhino lining will be a good compromise to assist in climbing in.

I was about to order the same rock sliders, are they really rusting after less than 6 months? Did they reach out with a resolution? Did you get the powder coat or go with the liner? Sorry for all the questions, these are literally in my cart lol.

I went with the liner for extra grip and they look great. Its also easier to touch up with a rattle can i come to find out lol. I have 0 rust issues that i have seen. Im sure you would see some surface rust if you scratched them up and didnt recoat or take care of it. I would recommend these for sure.

I have the trail version as well. I would recommend that, its plenty for a step, i think the step version which is 2 inches wider is too much, would hit my shins and look weird.

thanks for the trail suggestions. also why did you go with your own truck bed liner vs Cali-raised own truck bed lining?

I didnt, i had it rhino lined from cali raised. The cost wasnt very steep compared to me getting lined and I didnt want to deal with the hassle. I used Raptor aerosol to touch it up after i got some scrapes from wheeling, and its a pretty close match but not as textured as the rhino. I am not a powder coat fan, its slippery with no texture, thin and provides no grip, and its significantly harder to touch up yourself.

ohh gotcha. thought maybe you bed linered them themselves so they could color match touch ups. agree the texture masks touch ups easier than powder coat.

I am not sure where you are located, but I would suggest you pick them up if possible so you can inspect the finish prior to taking them. I had an issue where the lining was scuffed up from shipping and noticed when i went to pick up. They sent it back for a refinish. That would have been a nightmare to deal with if it was shipped to my house.

I'm in California. I'd pickup if they are in socal and save on shipping. But maybe they're in Texas. I'm not sure where the items are finished being manufactured.

You order from cali raised offroad, which is in fullerton, they make the sliders in Texas from Cali raised LED and send them here. Not sure what the deal is with the company, I think they bought each other but not sure.

I'm pretty sure the story was they were both one company, then one of the owners split off and moved to Texas with the CaliRaisedLED moniker. There's a post somewhere on the forum about it. CaliRaised that's still in Cali makes their own stuff, I believe.

Well i know for a fact that my sliders came from APEX in Texas which is in the same building as Cali Raised LED. I think you can look at apex' site and the sliders are identical. I dont know if APEX is a sister company or just a vendor.

This article will help explain a little! But to keep it simple, APEX and CALI RIASED LED have the same owner. APEX is our fabrication side of the business and Cali Raised LED is retail portion.

Yeah for whatever reason the DC and CM have different frames but the same wheel base.

    @Caliraisedled and OP...

I am confused. Are these full bolt on or do I need to drill holes. I thought I was going to need to drill some holes.

I did receive my step versions last week. I received them the next day (they shipped from DFW)! Packaged extremely well with no damage.

You do not have to drill any holes at all unless you are using a RCI fuel tank skid and have a 26 gallon tank. I needed to drill a hole for the support bracket that goes on the frame rail. Not sure about 38 gallon tanks.

I'm thinking of picking these up given the 15% off November sale. My only hesitation is the track record on getting the hardware right (though maybe they have made some changes over the past few months?), but these are the only fully bolt-on sliders I am aware of that have a few members actually confirm that they fit with Valhalla's Shields. Beyond that, product seems to be pretty stout.

Currently trying to decide if I should get someone local to install (Bay Area, CA) or use Cali Raised Offroad in SoCal, as their greatly reduced shipping cost essentially makes the cost of install just driving between SoCal / Bay. Hopefully given their closer ties to Cali Raised LED, there should be a lower chance of hardware problems. Long shot, but does anyone have any previous experience with Cali Raised Offroad in Buena Park? Seems to be decent but has a fair share of poor service reviews online.

I picked up my sliders from Cali raised offroad in Fullerton since I'm local. Good group of guys. The first time I went to pick up the rhino lining was messed up so I had them send it back. Took a week and a half. The second time they were perfect. I opened the hardware box while I was there to avoid going back a third time. Sure enough there was a few bolts and spacers missing but they had extra stock there and gave me what was needed.

I also have the valhalla system with the sliders. While it will work, you will need to drill a hole in the L brackets in the back yo get one of the middle clamp bolts in, unless you skip that bolt. You will also need a spacer or a few washers since the L bracket will sit a little further away from the plate. Highly recommend the setup though as drilling a hole in the bracket will make both items stronger. Make sure the middle skid is out for the install and make sure to remove all the plastic frame grommets. I forgot one and it was a bitch to bust through it to get the front most bolt in.

Actually yes, I had accidentally left a bolt and washer loose....
