I have. I also have 2 of them...the one in the pic and then a tanto blade one also

For the price, they're seriously hard to beat for feel in the hand and quality for use

Headhunter Rat. Sayoc Kali preferred knife. It's only meant for one thing. So not the best EDC option for most people. Folders and other types of knives are probably better suited for most daily tasks. This one is not that though if you know what you are doing and why.

What do you boys use to keep your blade tuned up? I’ve been messing around with a lot of different stones etc that aren’t getting the greatest results.
Nothing too fancy and something that won’t take two hours...

That’s an excellent question. I’ve never had to sharpen mine yet.

I was using an Edwin Jagger for a few years, then my wife got me a new one from a show a few months ago. It has no branding at all on it, so I don’t know what kind it is. She got it because it has a nice blue pearl handle. It’s a huge improvement over the Jagger. Wish I knew what it was so I could recommend it.
    I use Astra blades.

Is that a practice knife there too, or some kind of funky sheath?

Astra blades are good for sure. DE razor with traditional soap and brush shaving is much better than conventional cartridge and foam. Here are a few of my badger hair brushes.IMG_3717.jpgIMG_3712.jpg

I dont have one in the truck, but i do carry on my person. A Victorinox Soldier. A long story for some other time, but i swapped my bayonet for it with a Swiss Soldier who was at the Ranger games.

I have a Lansky, but prefer a strop charged with honing compound. A mouse pad and wet/dry sandpaper for when I screw up and nick a blade or let it get too dull. Just don't push too hard on the sandpaper/mousepad, and you get the beginnings of a beautiful convex edge. Finished properly on the strop, and the hair jumps off your arm in fear! ;)

Blue is a trainer for combatives training. Like a blue gun or claymore or whatever. Don't ever train the real one. You will bleed out faster than you think from knives like the rat or similar designs.

I have my grandads old vintage gillete that I use daily to shave. Blades are cheap as shit and it shaves better than any other razor I've used

I’ve got some soap and a brush I’ve used, but I’ve never gotten as deep into it as some have. I’ve spent some time on the Wicked Edge Reddit, and those guys get serious. It may seem strange, but I’ve had the best luck with my DE razor and Aveno shave gel. I use plain aloe for aftershave. I know it’s not the consensus, but it’s worked best for me. Can’t tell you why.

I have the ken onion work sharp thing. Works much faster than a stone. It does make the edge convex unlike the lansky but really, if you get sloppy with your technique on a stone it will do the same thing.
