Lunar Rock trucks are on the ground...and I don't like them.

I think it looks fine. It's not nearly as awful as some of the comments would make you believe. I like the fact that Toyota keeps thinking outside the box on these TRD Pro colors.

If you don't like it, don't buy it! :)

That's my only concern with this color - I wonder how is it going to age? I'm really tempted by Lunar Rock, but feel like I'll end up going with MGM since there's no concern of it potentially looking like a formerly trendy color years down the line. Decisions, decisions...

Well here's a thought, cement and lunar rock are colors that appear to be very shallow and dont really show any dirt or clear coat damage. Whereas, MGM and black show just about all clear coat damage. They also show dirt quite a bit, which means more washings, which means more damage to the clear coat.

If you maintain it then it can be controlled, but will take more effort and cost more. If you dont, then it will look much older much sooner.

True and agreed on darker vs. lighter. I maybe worded that poorly, but I was thinking the actual shade not upkeep. I'm just pondering what a green-gray shade is going to look like 5+ years from now. Like there was that period of time where highlighter colors were all the rage on cars and these days it's mostly shades of gray. Just random thoughts from an anxious buyer.

Ah, I guess only you can answer that for yourself.

I know people that still lover their neon green Jeeps. o_O

Too each their own. My Pro arrives in early November, I like that it’s a grey with a green tint. But it’s a polarizing color for sure. The only person that needs to like it is you, at least, if you’re going to buy one that is.

Pfft. Please. Cavalry Blue is so awesome the Pro wasn't even worthy of it. It's the only unique color from Toyota that the Tundra Pro owners can never have.

So odd though. The Tacoma and 4runner had Cavalry Blue.

The Tundra didn't get a Pro for the 2018 model year, and that was the Cavalry pro year.

Honestly, I think that they didn't do a pro in 2018 because they were putting the TSS system into the Tundras, and they weren't sure if the lift/level of a pro on the Tundra with mess it up. I think they were working the bugs out on that, because I do not believe (could be wrong) that the Tacoma or 4Runner Pros have lifts.

There is a reason 2018 didn't have a tundra pro. Cav blue couldn't cut it. That's why voodoo rolled out in 2019. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.:rofl:

Yeah, I ended up in the same boat. My wife loves the color but there's just something about it that doesn't quite do it for me. Put down a deposit on a cement and I'm excited about that!

I've tried twice now to see one in person, but they basically sell the minute they hit the lot so I can never get there in time to look. I love the color in some light and not so sure in others when it shifts to that blue-green shade. I keep trying to talk myself into LR, but I think I'll end up with MGM.

I kinda like it... if I was looking to buy one right now , I would have a hard time deciding which color to get. I'm willing to bet that in 20-30 years this lunar rock color and along with some of the other TRD Pro colors (inferno, voodoo, army green) will be highly sought after because they are "special" colors

I have two TRD Pros, one white (Tundra) and one black (4R). With teach special color I saw myself growing tired of it so went with the basics.

My wife also drives a white t4r pro. It was very close to being white as well for me because my dealership got a white and a lunar pro same day, I chose lunar based on the rarity and I really loved the when I saw it but totally get it’s not a color for everyone

Color is a subjective thing for sure, and for me the green tint and the blueish tint seemed like a more feminine color. I could see how people like it but couldnt see myself keeping it.
