Their is a reason so many people on here recommend Keith and his systems. They plain work and he will spend time on the phone with you personally to answer questions and give the best recommendation. You won't get that calling a large manufacturer and dealing with customer service from a person who never used the product let alone designed it.

I have a 10 inch system and honestly I think I could have gone a little longer. But it is fun to roll down the back window and get on the throttle a bit. Even then wife smiles and the boys always say to go faster.

I have the 10" on my Sequoia and love it. Just the right amount of noise and grunt! No drone, NONE. I installed it and literally immediately drove 6 hours +from Phoenix to L.A. NO DRONE!

Build your own and have drone and then get the DD= way more $$$

Also, Keith does what he says he will do so there's that.

Since opinions are like a**holes, I'll throw my hat into the ring too.

I've tried the following - because I'm an exhaust junkie with high curiosity and low impulse control:

    TRD
    TRD with H pipe
TRD with H pipe and Keith's tailpipe resonators
TRD with just Keith's tailpipe resonators
8 inch BAM - with tailpipe resonator, with no resonator, with 2 resonators - one after the muffler in the Y along with tailpipe resonator
12 inch BAM - with tailpipe resonator, with no resonator
    OEM
    OEM with Keith's tailpipe resonator

My truck came with the TRD exhaust and I've come full circle back to it after trying all of the above. I like the low pitched, burbly rumble of the TRD - it reminds me of my old Chevelles and Novas. It did have the annoying helicopter sound when new, which I couldn't stand and prompted the above exhaust journey. But my truck has 30K miles on it now and the TRD exhaust sounds nice - the helicopter sound is more of a tempered chugga chugga rumble which I like.

With that said, if TRD didn't exist, I would be running a 12 inch BAM with resonator. The 8 was a little to aggressive for me, but the 12 was nice.

I know the DD love sounds like "fanboy"-ism, but based on my experiences with him and his staff, it is deserved. They are excellent people to deal with. If you don't like the sound of the exhaust, pay shipping and they'll build you another for no cost - no one else offers that. If you get tired of it, you can sell it here or any other online marketplace and re-coup some of your costs.

Is it cheap? No. But no catback is. I completely get wanting to save a few bucks and replacing the OEM muffler with something else. And that has worked for a lot of people. I personally didn't like the idea of hacking up the system. First of all, the pipe diameters are really odd, so while an exhaust shop can make it work, it doesn't always look great. Then if you get tired of it, you have to go back and cut and replace again. I know not everyone looks underneath the truck at those things, but some do.

I won't get into the performance gains/losses as I don't think they are very material. I know drive-ability can be improved or impaired with the right or wrong system. I haven't realized any material differences (other than sound) with what I've tried. The TRD and BAM seem to accelerate a little easier than OEM - but the sound could contribute to that. If I'm being honest, the TRD does have very slight low end torque loss compared to OEM and DD when maintaining speed on inclines in 6th gear under 60 mph - but it's not a problem for me.

Sorry for rambling. To the OP, good luck with whatever you decide.

THIS: Im not convinced that its not some rebranded trickery. I have gone back to stock and love it. Really??????? If you read this forum for more than 15 minutes, you will learn this is ridiculous and feeble statement. If you don't have experience, don't knock on someone or the integrity of their worth, work or products.

I think what he meant is the parts are probably sourced from elsewhere. I highly doubt he manufactures the actual mufflers used inhouse. He might who knows. I'm not an exhaust expert.

He does… 100% fabricated in his San Diego shop. I mean - he doesn’t forge the steel - but buying a muffler and calling it his?!?

My phone keeps messing up. Using a muffler in his build would not make it any less his. The same goes for the Y elbow. It appears like a generic part, but none of that would make his product any less unique.

Exhaust is different to everyone. There are complaints about everything on Earth if you look around.

OP, find somebody running the single muffler version that he offered to make. There is a lot of praise on his product for sure, but you'll want to find somebody with the exact setup you're considering and get their feedback.

I agree 1000%. I’m sure he makes a quality product but all this talk of ‘losing low end torque’ when going with another product.. you’ll only ever notice it on a dyno. Bottom line, get what looks good to you and fits your budget.

Thank you so much for all your feedback! I bought the TRD exhaust for my ladies 21 and I also love it. I can't wait to buy the truck and buy some exhaust. Like you I am kind of an exhaust junkie. I might end up ordering both options truthfully. I have ordered 3 systems at a time in the past for a sports car to find the sound I was looking for. The ones that don't make the cut get sold on the market place. I'll post results as soon as I get everything in.

Not true…I had a 22” magnaflow on my my last tundra. Low end loss was noticeable. Switched to dam BAM and it was back plus some.

i am curious. How does this work if the OE muffler is a big 2 in 1 out muffler? Why wouldn’t the magnaflow replacement style of the oe setup be worse?

lol, you do you man. No need to justify your purchase to me. Get a kick when someone mentions a different exhaust and everyone jumps in ‘OMG, YOU’RE GOING TO LOSE LOW END TORQUE’. Yet you hardly see it mentioned when people talk 35”-37” in wheels, e rated tires or 3”+ lifts, or any of the thousand other things you can add that weigh a lot

That's a good point. The original muffler could eat several magnaflows.

I’m guessing magnaflows R&D is clearly subpar to the competitors.

Those of you sporting Magnaflows can have them.
I've told this story many times over the years..

My first attempt with my 2014 exhaust was a 2 in 1 out Magnaflow.
It had the drone FROM THE INNER DEPTHS OF HELL on the highway.

    11992450-7BDC-4891-9197-F52F1BF10C3A_zps_15366592315813954c2d2cc92a03ef233137d3b9.jpg

I then found this forum and Keith from @dirtydeeds and gave him a call.
He recommended trying one of his Helmholtz resonators to get rid of the drone and sold me one.

Installed it and it killed the drone but knocked the sound back to stock.
    I then ordered a custom 7" from him, I couldn't decide between 6 and 8.
He BUILT ME A CUSTOM 7" and shipped it.

Had to have my local muffler shop weld the muffler tailpiece back on that they cut-off for the Magnaflow.
They did such a crappy job, in the end, I bought a new tailpipe.

    411699B7-47CC-4AA7-91C2-C6CF3F3E29BF_zps_b61761a2c1593d2d1fa3a77f048daccb42e3edbb.jpg

I ran it for 4 years with no issues, minimal drone (less than the stock muffler), happy camper.

Decided I wanted something a little more quiet as I got older, he made me a 10 and swapped it for my 7.
I paid to ship both ways, loved it...

Anyone saying he sells rebranded stuff is just wrong.
He has literally built me 2 systems (7 and 10), and he is fixing to build me a 12.
My 10 got damaged when my catalytic converters were stolen in November.
The local shops want to weld it back in, I want to retain the bolt-on feature.
If I sell or trade my truck, I'll put the stock muffler back on and replaced the rez with a cover plate..

    v867ca56_2eebc879bc27c555c904cf9dad41d2b4aaa568a1.jpg

Keith said he would either fix my 10 for free (I pay shipping both ways) or make me a 12 (we discussed it) if I wanted for $500 (I pay to ship both ways).

Magnaflow or Flowmaster would have told me to go F myself.

He makes exhaust systems CUSTOM ORDER, which is why it can take up to a month to ship it.
Not only that, but if you buy and don't like it, too loud or not loud enough, he will make you another one granted you pay to ship both ways.

You buy a Magnaflow, Flowmaster, or some other shit Catback Tundra system and you don't like it, YOU ARE STUCK WITH IT.

That is a very small magnaflow. Yes that will drone bad, i had one on a silverado it was awful. The 5x11x22 case magnaflow does not drone. Its so big its pretty quiet

That is what my local muffler shop recommended in 2014.
Sounded great around town, but like shit on the highway.
Pretty sure they were out of touch being the shit job they did welding the muffler tip back on...

My point is @dirtydeeds doesn't sell rebranded shit.
They make orders as they come in.
But not only that, they will replace it as long as the buyer pays to ship both ways.
Magnaflow and Flowmaster aren't gonna do that...
