Very true. I forget about direct burying PEX. But we’re usually direct burying much bigger lines than 1”, so HDPE ends up being the most common

Like many Milwaukee hand tools, they put the HEAVY in heavy duty. Haha.

Empire are fine but I’ve had one or two that weren’t level right off the shelf. If you level something with it, then rotate the level 180*, its no longer level. I don’t use them anymore.

I have a red stick 6’ milwaukee set that is great (but heavy) and another 48” red stick that rode in the truck for a bit. They are accurate. But I use Stabila 99% of the time - currently their Shadow level. My last Stabila lasted 5 or 6 years in the back of the truck but it went for a ride and nicked an edge. I replaced it but I bet it’s still better than a cheap level. I just need to get rid of the nick.

So my lil old 83yr, 4'11", 75 lb mother in law did a number on her toilet my wife tells me last night.

She lives with us in a mother-n-law unit attached to our house.

No biggie I say and get the plunger. Welp, that didn't work. I'm kinda stunned to say the least, but the sink and tub drains are still working so I know it's isolated to the toilet.

This auger from Milwaukee is worth the $60. Comes with attachment for your driver.

Those are great. I usually have one or two of them in the truck. Battery lasts decently long, they are fairly bright, and they are much more compact than the m18 Rockets. The m18 certainly has longer battery life and puts out more light, but I set up the m12 version 4 out of 5 times (mostly because I have to remember to put the m18 Rocket in the truck if I plan on using it).

I almost went with the M18, but it’s rare will I really use and this will get the job done when needed.

You all feel the 3” cutoff tool is worth $57.37?
    IMG_0022.png IMG_0021.png

@RainMan_PNW so the bandfile worked well removing the spare tire guards?

edit: yes, I need to charge my phone

Stabila are the only levels worth buying. Well, them and Flange Wizard for pipe work.

You want to go slow and steady with it, but yes. I started with the grinder and it was raining sparks everywhere and hard to get up in there comfortably. Then I remembered I had the bandfile with me (was at my MIL’s because she has a shop) so I put it to work. Almost no sparks and really wasn’t much slower than I felt the grinder was once I got it into a position I could comfortably use it.

For $57, the 3” cutoff wheel is worth it. It’s no grinder, but works great for tile and a few other things with the correct wheel.
