That one talks about the lights themselves. This one has the comparison with OEM leds.

50% might be a pretty big ask... Even for a BF discount!
I unfortunately always have to encourage folks to take the Headlight Revolution videos with a grain of salt anymore as they are owned by the DLG group which owns The Retrofit Source, Morimoto, Headlight Revolution, GTR Lighting, and others. However, I do appreciate them putting together these sorts of videos as it definitely gives people an idea of what to expect!

As for my personal experience with these lights I have been happy with them. I won't talk on features as this wasn't what you asked for this time.

Low Beam Performance: In general, I prefer the output of a reflector based housing as it provides some uplight which helps in down-range obstacle identification. That said, the Morimoto Gen 2s have some really great intensity underneath the cutoff. As a result what I have found myself doing is aiming them a click higher than what would be considered road-legal spec when I drive on the interstate. At Montana's 80mph speed limit I have found that I can outrun the low beams pretty easily when there is that sharp upward cutoff and almost zero upward light bleed. Fortunately, this is easily done with the dial on a Tundra! Then when I get into town I bring them back down so that I am not filling the cab of every single car/small SUV that I come upon in traffic with light.

High Beam Performance: Simply put... OEM LEDs PUNCH when it comes to high-beam performance. I am honestly not sure if I have seen an OEM headlight that has better performance than them in a high beam scenario. That said, I find the Morimoto Gen 2s to have a perfectly adequate high beam for driving at speed. It has plenty of intensity and height for anything you would need. Of course, when offroad I have plenty of other goodies to turn on so they get more or less drowned out anyway. I wouldn't put the Morimoto Gen 2s anywhere near "inadequate" in terms of high beam performance. It's just that the OEM LEDs are REALLY GOOD.

Personally, I wouldn't advise anyone to shy away from them. I have been happy with them from a light output perspective.

    Too many, but not enough....
I used mother's nulens kit for 20 bucks on my wife's 2011 matrix with really bad yellowing and they look brand new now. It's totally worth it.

We personally use Chemical Guys JetSeal on all of our headlight housings. Been happy with it for years.

Yea I could tell from the video that it wasn’t quite as drastic of a difference as they were saying it was on the same video lol

That’s a great idea! That’s what I was hoping to get would be a bit more low beam performance and supplement high beams with other specialized toys for that. Playing with the leveler like you said will be nice and help reach out a bit further until my wife will let me get the onx6 lol

I really appreciate all of the feedback, that was wildly helpful and what I was looking for!! Went ahead and snagged them from your site! Excited to throw them on and see how they are

Anyone happen to know if you can install the Morimoto XB LED headlights (2nd Gen) without the Non-DRL Conversion relay for the 14-20 Toyota Tundra? I have just got my fog lights in and now want to tackle my new headlights but the relay kit is running a few days behind. I'd think this would be fine, you just would not have function of the DRL's until that arrives.

    Can anyone confirm?

BTW memario1214 -Nice truck. I have a 17DC Limited but it appear we have the same color, wheels, tires, and light choice.

You can put them in without the DRL harness. You might even find that it works perfectly fine without.

And thanks! Great minds think alike

Any idea on what would cause the parking lights not to flash when unlocking? Mine started doing it recently and now it does it just about every time until I hit the button a couple of times.

They don't flash on either side? You're confident that the truck is getting input from the fob, yeah?

Both front and rear aren't flashing on the first unlock. The beep sounds and the doors are unlocking. Just no flashing until I hit the button a couple of times.

Hmm… that actually is an odd one. That sounds like a logic problem and not a light problem to me. I can’t remember all of the settings in the stereo. Is there anything that mentions that? Haven’t been in those for a min.

It's definitely weird. It has always worked fine until recently.
