First of all, that video is BS. Kind of reminds me of the YouTube video they posted of the "upcoming 4th gen Tundra" where they photo shopped a Camry grille onto a 3rd gen. Secondly, while I actually love the look of that thing, I just can't get over the fact that Nissan will be the one to build it (and if they actually do make it to production, it will not look near as cool). I don't want to offend any past Titan owners that may have loved their Titans, but when I looked at a Titan XD diesel the ONLY thing that looked like it might last was the cummins engine (NOT built by Nissan). The whole rest of the truck appeared very cheap.

I have a 2000 Nissan Xterra. It's a damn tank. Will not die. Will not let me down. Nissans quality went to shit in the early 00's. Around 04-05. As far as the Titan goes, I've never really heard much good out of them. Plus, the only Cummins I would own would be a 5.9ltr 12 valve. If I were to go out with a chunk of change and buy a new truck, this would NOT be it.

The thing is, though, you can pretty easily get $10k+ off that sticker price, whereas Toyota doesn't give you much. Also, that $64k model was most definitely an XD, which has the beefier frame and higher payload. The gasser Platinum Reserve non-XD Titans are in the mid-upper $50k range for sticker, so you could probably get one for less than a platinum Tundra.

If it actually looked like the show truck it would be a nice vehicle to have. I loved my 04 Titan, it was a great truck. Not that I dont love the Tundra, but the Titan provided me with 160,000 trouble free miles. And I beat that poor truck for every mile. It still looked new when I traded it in.

I may still do that since they are only 2 miles from the house. First ? will be "tell me why I should sell my Tundra and buy a Titan?"
