Those leafs are super flexy. If you go 3" packs, you'll lose a small amount of articulation. But I also think that helps prevent them from losing arch

I want Bruce to do 3" so he can do that on my truck when I get back there. You have convinced me it's the way to go and with my frame cut and moving the front spring mounts it's the only thing that makes me nervous about my build that I want to do over.

Yeah I'm convinced that 2.25" packs are just too narrow for any truck that carries weight. The thinner leafs makes the packs tall and when they twist I think the metal gets fatigued faster and that why they sag prematurely. SUA packs are longer so they'll twist more which exacerbates the problem.

Fabricating the front hanger is actually pretty easy. The hard part is precisely locating the pivot. Fabricators have tricks that they use to locate this bolt, but of course none of them are going to be willing to share lol

How much weight did you have loaded - i haven't loaded much weight with mine yet, but plan to keep it around the 500lb range.

The leafs are gonna get rearch but I think that’s a bandaid the skinny leafs just don’t work like Alex said in his two posts

    So minor update...

    The old light bar
    JNNL9883.jpg

@Baja Designs came through huge! My onx6 high power had developed moisture in all 4 sections which caused one section to stop working... I talked to Paul at BD and he said to bring the truck up we will fix it, standing by their lifetime warranty.. after their tech looked at the light, Paul came out w a brand new onx6+ which had the same output and lower draw (which is a good thing) !! He said the other one will take a lot to fix and this bar is better then he came out to help install it too. I gotta give credit to them they have great customer service, employees and stand by their products! Thanks, @Baja Designs, and Paul
The new bar is so pretty...

Also they suggested running two of the sections with amber and two with white to help cut through the dust. instead of all white, so im gonna give it a try and see how it works,

also the internals are wired a little different on the onx6+ vs highpower, and with the highpower there was a second switch you installed to add a high and low power feature, when we installed the 6+ the switch actually turned the outer two sections off making it a 20" inch instead of 40" which is good for the day time when you want people to see you but dont need 32k lumens of light to do it

That looks fun as fuck! Is LT required for driving that exact trail or does it just mean going slower if you have MT?

After trip / been a while update...

Added some minor things to the truck.

Starting with new Evil Manufacturing Third brake light with dual @Baja Designs S2 sport flush mount yellow dust lights (i got rid of the low bumper mount ones I had)

Trimmed the damaged fiberglass off the bedsides. Now I have more rear clearance as a bonus

Installed a ARB dual compressor, so now I have a Viaair 450 and the arb dual, and last weekend after offroading, I had to air my tires back up before driving home, and the per tire inflation for 37's from 20psi to 38 psi went from 4-5 minutes per tire down to 2 minutes per tire. I'm very happy with that.

also here are a few shots and a quick clip from the weekend wheeling with family

    with @osidepunker exploring mines

my buddy installing a GoPro for some in fender suspension footage (that will be coming soon)

And you may have noticed I got the new cooper STT pro's installed, and boy they are waaaayyyyyy better than my KO2's
