Man this is driving me nuts as well, stereo turned up half way and the door rattling, If I press my hand firmly on the window control cluster area it seems to stop. How annoying is this though? Finally have a truck with a decent stereo but the door rattles = lame!

The dealer ordered a new weather stripping for the passenger door and will replace it when it comes in.

I may have found the source of my rattling driver side door while heavy base music is playing. I simply grabbed the inside of the trim piece towards the seat and the rattling stopped, see top picture. I started feeling inside the storage space and felt a small gap between the two plastic pieces. I was doing this experiment while driving to work. Pulling on the trim seemed to stop the rattling, even after letting go of it while driving the rest of the way to work. Perhaps the pieces aren't seated properly and that gap is what's causing the rattling. I will insert a piece of cloth or thin rubber material in between those pieces when I get home today.

Do you guys have an issue with every metal or reusable water bottle rattling relentlessly in the cup holders? Every metallic bottle I use rattled non stop even on smooth roads. Only plastic is quiet. The whole truck feels plastic

geez, you guys are starting to cool my enthusiasm for this rig.

I don't want a big plastic rattle trap. Then again the ford I tested broke down on the test drive so maybe rattles arent too bad, lol.

wow, really? can you elaborate ? that much of a POS?

I was waiting on the 2023 to let the first year bugs get worked out and get cleaner builds once they get to the second year of production, but I didn't think it was that bad.

I just am not impressed with all the new technology. I don’t like all the plastics all over the interior and piano finish around the gear shifter. Also don’t like how low the body is, don’t like the electronic tailgate ( no longer mechanical handle it’s a button ), hate the start/stop, hate the electronic parking brake. I’m going back to a Tacoma. I have had 5 straight Tacomas and wish I had bought a 2020 or 2021 tundra before the redesign. But ordered a 2023 Tacoma. Also I think the remote air dam is the stupidest thing ever due to the limited ability to modify the front bumper and not being able to easily unplug the air dam without a warning staying on saying there is a malfunction. And then there is the passenger front door rattle that drives me crazy.

All this added foam got rid of my drivers door rattle. Dealer did it, I copied it to my passenger front door when I replaced my door handles, no more rattles. Mine seemed to be JBL related.

So my issue has finally been fixed. I had to open a case with Toyota and a representative met me at the dealer. He was very helpful, we went for a ride and he heard the noise and videoed it and he documented it with Toyota. My noise was coming from top of passenger door frame and it seemed like the two moldings were slightly rubbing together making an annoying friction noise over bumps. Previously my dealer had replaced both moldings without that being the fix. They slightly adjusted the door striker I believe to tighten the door against the truck. Well it worked perfectly!!! The noise is completely gone and my truck is squeak free

I have the same passenger window molding squeak. I have tried to lube the weatherstripping, but it kind of makes it worse. I too have thought the doors need to shut tighter. All of them. Do you know where they adjusted the strike? Did they move the latch on the door, or the strike on the body?

They adjusted the latch on the door itself. They did say they matched it perfectly to the drivers door. It does take a little bit more effort to close the door now but I’m fine with that. Sometimes when my wife closes the door gently, it isn’t totally shut. So much better than that constant squeak

I (like many on here) have had a few issues with some minor rattles and squeaks in my doors on my 22 1794. Fortunately Im not suffering from the wind noise issue that alot of people are. But I took the following steps that has made a huge difference and thought I'd share for the greater good.

1.) Pulled the door skins to get a look at what was under there. Toyota has done a nice job securing all the wiring with clips.
2.) I noticed the aluminum bracket that supports the arm rest had some wiggle and if I pressed on it clicked up against the plastic moisture panel so when I put that back on after sound insulation material I put some foam in there to keep them from touching. Photos of that bracket below.
    Screen Shot 2022-10-24 at 11.15.50 AM.jpg

Foam tape added below so it can't touch the plastic.
    Screen Shot 2022-10-24 at 11.15.09 AM.jpg

3.) While I had the door skins off I installed the Amazon Basics Sound Insulation material. These doors are incredibly large and hollow which transfers a ton of road noise and additional sound into the cab. Ive used Dynomat, Kilmat, etc in the past and whoever makes these sheets for amazon has done a real nice job. Affordable product that comes in many precut sizes and I was able to do all for doors with 3.5 boxes of 14.5" x 10" sheets (10 count per box). Link here
    Screen Shot 2022-10-24 at 11.15.42 AM.jpg

    Screen Shot 2022-10-24 at 11.15.33 AM.jpg

    Screen Shot 2022-10-24 at 11.16.02 AM.jpg

Now I haven't done anything scientific or quantifiable to determine how much improvement I've made over stock due to cabin noise but seat of the pants at 75mph there's a noticeable difference in noise levels.

I'm going to tackle the center console noise later this week. My front cup holders squeak with tall things in it. the back ones do not. Hopefully have a solution soon.

Approximately how thick is that adhesive backed foam sheet? 1/2" or 3/4"

The ones on the rear inner trim piece are probably 1/4" or 3/8"s.

I have a click/rattle between my passenger sun visor and panoramic roof. Took it to the dealer and they verified the click but had no solution. I hear it over moderate bumps. Not to mention the rattles in both front doors over bumps and with bass. And now have a buzz right behind the 14in screen with some songs/bass. I love the truck but these are driving me crazy. My priority is the click above the passenger visor. Has anyone experienced this one??
