Real stupid question, but going in and editing all this stuff in your trucks computer doesn’t void any warranties does it?

 

If anyone wants a Carista EVO, they are $69 and I used the first discount code on a Google search (code SFDCARISTA), dropping it to $49 plus tax and about $6 shipping so $60 all-in.

 

I liked it so much I got that for myself. I feel the EVO is a better buy.

 

Thanks so much, I jut purchased mine! My whole family has Toyotas so this will get a workout.

I'm also in Richmond Va if anyone close by would like to use it as well after it arrives.

I received the Carista from SnrDisregardo and did what I needed to do (THANK YOU VERY MUCH). @sstumpf95 please PM your address and I'll get it shipped out.

 

I got the Carista from @VCheng and plan to update my truck with it this weekend. Then, I'll send it off to @tesilential early next week. Sorry fellas for holding things up, but Beryl hit pretty hard and screwed some stuff up...I was hoping to be done with it by now.

First experience with the Carista EVO tonight. Very easy to use and fast to make changes.

Turned off fake engine noise and seatbelt dings for back seat. Changed the A/C to -2. Turned on the long press to open windows, sunroof etc. Changed the turn signal to 5 blinks. All very easy.

 

Is the legacy software still available?

Hard to tell at this point. I think a second, and maybe even a third Carista unit were thrown into the mix by other members. Can't tell if they started new lists, or continued with the original.

You guys can take me off the list. I bought a Veepeak OBDCheck Bluetooth OBD II on sale at Amazon for prime days. Good reviews and it works with the carista app. I figured I will also use it for codes and to check tranny temps to change ATF fluid in my wife's Highlander. $25 or $33 depending on which version you get.

 

any of you on the list in the Denver Mile High Metro? If so LMK I'd like to piggyback and get a few changes done. Thanks.

 

I bought the veepeak a few months ago and it would not connect to my phone. I forgot and missed the return window. I wanted to check my tundra and my wife’s 24 Honda Pilot as Carista doesn’t support the Honda.

 

What version of the Veepeak did you get and what type of phone? I got the Veepeak OBDCheck BLE+ and am using an iphone

 

I keep getting this message on the carista evo. Any work around for this? I was gonna add this to the pay it forward to help speed things up for the waitlisters. But it won’t let me purchase a membership
