@Outbound I tore the Browns up on the Gonga. That fly is deadly when they are chasing. Charlie Craven here in CO came up with it. He owns Charlie’s fly box here. Check it out. The pic with the two bows is something I’ve never seen. I landed one and netted it. Chucked my Gonga off the side of the boat and the second one crushed it. Set the net down and landed that one too. Lol

 

There wasn't really anything happening for hatches. We'd just had a few days of rain, and the weather and barometer were all over the place. I guarantee you the day before or the day after I went was killer though, seems to be how it always works.

A fly in would be sick. Seems like $6000+ per week though.

Very nice. I love browns, such a pretty fish.

This is a cake! 100% edible. Some young man caught this on his 16 birthday. So dad had this lady make a cake for his birthday (or sumtin like that). This girl is very talented.

 

Completely unexpected rainbow while creek fishing for bass the other week.

 

Was going through pictures the other day looking for something and came across this one.

This is a picture of a picture from 20 some odd years ago. Our daughter loved to steer the boat and take us to where the fish are. Her favorite saying back then was “I almost had a bite”!! she fishes offshore often and has better tackle than I ever had. She is a heck of a fisherman now with a few Redfish local tournament wins under her belt.

 

Found another one. We were catching bait for Flatheads on the river. Big baits big fish! She would catch them and I had to take ‘em off the hook.

 

Just back from Alaska, average trip for quantity, but excellent for variety of fish caught. One of the highlights was a Salmon Shark that we caught on a halibut rig.

Ever catch a blue lingcod? Meat is blue, but loses that color when it cooks.


Albacore may be small tuners, but they’re sure fun!

Yes, slot siz is 18" to 26". This one was 27" so much son was a little pissed he had to throw it back.

I think in Alabama you can keep one over the size. I through the bulls back to breed anyway.
