Preventing Voltage Spikes

    Sure doesn't seem like voltage drop would cause that to pop. I'd look into battery/alternator first, confirmed they're good. Then check the connections on your power wire. Then check the 12v socket, lots of them don't connect too great. I plug my cord in and electrical tape it in so it can't pull or move out.
