You made the right choice. Nobody with a Pro would rather have a Limited.

What's a good option for 35's? Can I get those on with the stock suspension? Or best option a suspension lift? I was looking at a Toytec Boss or Coachbuilder.

It is a 2019 CM and has been on the lots since December. They suck as a dealer but all of the car dealers in the area suck just as bad. No one wants to deal ever. St. Cloud Toyota is my dealer of choice.

I thought they were only made in black, white and army green for 2020? Does Toyota change their colors during the year? Or maybe the brochure I have is wrong...

Nope, I stand corrected. The gray is also offered on the build website. Guess I got an early brochure

Go with the pro. Unless you are going to lift it anymore then adding the spacer in the front for bigger tire option. I got mine $1500.00 under msrp. I have had limited and platinum. Pro is the way to go on value... Parking sensor and blind spot i miss... IMO That is it.

Get a PRO! You won’t regret it. However, like others have said, if you plan on completely swapping out the suspension then get a different trim. I wouldn’t pay the extra premium for the Pro if you plan on swapping out one of the main “Pro” components. All of the other stuff you can add to any trim. Good luck in your decision!

I debated this long and hard too. I liked and wanted the exclusivity of the Pro, and I wanted the Voodoo Blue. With all the dealerships by me marking them up 5-10K I felt like it was out of my reach until I stumbled upon a dealership that wanted sticker, and I went with it!

I even thought of getting the Platinum model but know I would always be lusting for the Pro

    Different strokes for different folks.
First off, you can’t compare a limited to the pro, you need to compare it to the platinum. At the end of the day the perfect trim level is one that will suit your needs, as everyone’s needs are a bit different.

I wanted a truck as my daily driver in the city, so naturally I wanted one with blind spot monitoring and parking sensors. Ended up going platinum because of the sensors, bsm, upgraded leather and the fact that the trd pro is NOISY. I already have a Straightpiped v8 for the weekends so I wanted something more subtle. Still, even now I’m still drooling over how good the pro looks. Trd pro grill swap coming in the near future.....

I traded a fully loaded F-150 Lariat for the TRD Pro and It’s far better. I don’t do a lot of off roading by any means, but with the beefed up suspension the thing rides like a dream on the road. The ride compared to the F-150 is worlds better. Plus, it just looks cooler than the other Tundra options out there.

Because it's not a completely different truck than say a platinum? It's not like toyota made a special frame or anything to make the pro better, they literally just updated and changed a few components to give you a better off-road truck and nearly everyone on here upgrades the suspension anyway. If you want the creature comforts of a platinum and have a "platinum pro" you really only need to upgrade the suspension. I have the trd air intake, skid plate and shift knob and eventually once my first set of tires wear out, i'll be ugprading to a better suspension system and rims. I mean if you really wanna go all out and get the trd rims you can. I'm not really a fan of the army green color for pros this year though, I think the green with the red just looks weird and will always look like a christmas truck, but that's just me.

I'm just happy I went with a platinum, it has everything I need in a truck. I really don't see the point of arguing about the trd pros keeps it's value better. I don't buy a tundra so I can trade it in before I even pay it off and I plan on running it for as long as I possibly can and by that time, I'll be happy to trade it in for a new one and get 5k for it.

    Lease is a losing deal.
You will pay all the depreciation of a new car and also pay the profits to the dealer, and in the end you get left holding nothing but an empty wallet.
Buying new is also a bad deal but at least at the end of your payments you get to keep your truck.

Given the choice of building up a Limited vs. Pro, I would definitely go with the Pro.

But what I would do is build up a Platinum Pro. Best of both worlds.

BTW - I just got a 2020 4Runner Pro for the Mrs. I love the thing and once we finish building the new house this fall I will be putting the Pro Fox suspension under my Platinum!

You're the one sitting there saying you can't make a non pro into something as good as if not better than a pro or that people that try to do that are stupid or not as good as you are. There are so many trucks on here that are much better off roading than a pro. If you buy a pro because it strokes your giant ego then go for it.

No reason to trash the people that build their other trims into a "limited pro" or "platinum pro". The beauty of customizing is to make the truck whatever the owner wants! I bought a 2016 Pro because I am a huge Toyota fan (came from a 2010 Tacoma TRD Off-Road to my Tundra, I just sold my 1991 4Runner, Dad still owns a 1996 v6 4x4 manual Tacoma that I learned to drive on, Dad has a Camry for work, Mom has a Rav4, Grandma has a Lexus etc.) and it sparked me to buy the limited edition model of my favorite truck, the TRD Pro. I am 22 and did not care for all the comfort features, only thing I miss is the JBL sound system and heated/cooled seats. I plan on owning my tundra for years (With the help of my parents for a down payment I bought my 2010 Tacoma when I was 15) so might end up upgrading those things one day anyway. Also have learned a good bit about vehicles, but the idea of buying a truck with good suspension already sparked me. I might eventually add the CoachBuilder set and 35 x 12.5s, but no hate as to what trim a person buys! Im passionate about my Pro but I am also just as passionate about Tundras in general! You can't lose with one.

I got the 2020 magnetic gray Pro at 51K. The choice has already been made. :)

My only complaint is the small tires. Coach Builder on it's way!
