Just curious what y’all are using?

as I am fat, I’m able to just barely slide under the tundra for oil changes. I was able to instal running boards.

I will at some point need to remove/retorque my cat shield. Myke (asylumdezyns) used a pair of rhino ramps to instal. They were pretty slick.

I do own a badlands Jack, and a set of 3 ton, and 6 ton Usjacks Jack stands.

the Jack stands are cumbersome. Rhino ramps seem like there’d be easier, and they are on sale at our local “Ukrainian tire” stores.

was also thinking of glueing some 2 x 12 pieces together to slide under the front tires.

if I’m really feeling spendy, raceramps sell ramps, and blocks made of foam. Very lightweight but $$$.

Quickjacks are cool but possibly more than I want to spend. They seem cumbersome to use, but we have 3 vehicles to change oil / winter tire swap.

I wouldn't get quickjacks, I have them and you'd need all the extensions in order to lift the truck any. Just use the jack and stands, the other two options will require spending and storage space.

12 ton jack stands for the added height. I don't even bother with 6 tons since they're so short.

Run your truck into a shallow ditch (perpendicular) and position the oil pan over the deepest part. Slide under and get to it. Cost: free fitty.

The concept is simple enough, a properly cut block of wood would almost do the same thing. There is the possibility of the wood splitting though.

These are the 16K Rhino Ramps under my Tundra. You can only use these on a solid surface such as concrete or asphalt.

I use my air jack the most and my NAPA 3.5 ton floor jack when I need more stability or just need two jacks.

Usjack 6 ton has 25” height. Their 10 ton is 28” but it’s 700 bucks. That’s raceramps territory

Just for reference, I took a screenshot of the NAPA 3.5 ton floor jack that I use. I've had it for somewhere around 20 years without any issues at all.

does the garage floor have to be perfectly level? We have a drain in the floor, so there’s some slope.

also, tell me more about this air Jack?

Well yeah but the size of wood for that is nowhere near what you'd fit in between the wheel axle on a jack and its support pad.

I can’t see the wood splitting. (Not using it on edge). Even just 2 2x12’s glued together would give me 3” of lift. That’d be enough to comfortable to an oil change at least

The floor just needs to be solid and flat under the ramps. All four corners should be touching the floor before driving up on them.

I bought the air jack on Amazon for my trailer because the floor jack is really heavy and I'm pushing weight limits on it when it's loaded. I'll try to post up a link for it.

no, I’m talking about 2 x 12’s (15” or so pieces) glued together so I can drive up on them, or Jack the truck, and then slide the wood under the tires. Kinda like a rhino ramp. im just looking to get room under neath the truck for oil changes, and removing the cat plate

where do they say this? I’m on their website right now. Did they say outright no, or did they say “we don’t recommend use of non pro eagle accesories on non pro eagle jacks for safety reasons”?

I’ll bet it will work. They don’t want to say so for obvious reasons.

I see no issue with the way you're talking about using wood. I was referring to using a smaller piece of wood in lieu of the Pro Eagle jack stop.

^ they are almost 100 less than my us jacks, and they ship free. Not a bad deal.

but the Jack stands need to go where the Jack point is. Have you jacked fr from the front cross beam? It looks thin.

This exactly! I quit using floor jacks years ago when I quit rotating my own tires (have Big-O do that now). Drive up on the ramps, you're done, no need to scoot around placing jack stands, one side then the other. I will have my oil draining before that is done using ramps. Simple, easy, safe.
