I did this with all the hardware. Took a little time matching up all the little nuts, bolts and washers at home dump, but I think it was worth it. Added a little anti-seize to the ones that go into blind holes.

Same actually. Lotsa salt here in Wisco. Didn’t use anti seize but coated with MPHD. Probably still take them off once a year and check them. Hate rust with a passion.

Adding a used Red steel (shop painted) RCI with hardware for $200 Canadian (he even delivered) to my truck shortly.

No damage. Bolts are not seized. 1 year old. He traded into a 4Runner.

I’m sorry, I don’t. I did it all rudimentary, I matched up bolts in hand at the hardware store.

If I remember correctly, I believe this is correct. I had to replace my access door bolts and Lowe’s had what was needed.

I went aluminum and if you plan to wheel it hard and often I’d recommended steel. I’ve definitely moved / removed a fair amount of aluminum on mine.

I went with Aluminum, but it all depends on your overall use & goals.

    Too many, but not enough....
I say steel also. Stronger and cheaper, win win for me. Granted I dont live where rust is an issue.

Side note, does anyone know if these plates can be used as a jack point in the center or should i stick with the crossmember area?

I had aluminum on my 4runner and it was well worth the price for the weight savings I felt was needed for that vehicle. Went with steel on the Tundra due to sufficient power and because of the weight of the Tundra. RCI makes a quality product no matter which material you choose.

1/4" aluminum is approximately less than 20% in strength than 3/16" steel. Not bad. I think the RCI Aluminum skids are 1/4".
