I think your correct about 5 speed. Id love to feel 4.56. Can you put gas to floor off the line? Mine kinda barely grips unless perfect road condition when empty. Felt really slow b4.

And yes I find myself bumping it to Neutral when its still in cold start high idle. Nothing crazy but they all should have come with 4.10's atleast. Trucks are a hair week off idle v8 wise.

Ohhhhh... good stuff right here. I've searched LSD rebuilds on our trucks and there's not much to be found out there on the interwebs. LSD rebuild is on my backlog, but I'm currently a complete ignoramus on diff work. Just curious, how can I (easily) measure my existing 200k+ diff to see how worn out it is? Could I just jack up one wheel and progressively turn the other with a torque wrench until the axle starts turning to see where the torque wrench stops breaking/axle turns? I'll need to remember to disengage my parking brake as well... haha.

Almost. Driveline needs to be disconnected and you'll need the torque wrench to be facing 90° from the center of the axle when on the lug nut.

A digital one that reads out torque as applied will be useful. You can use a harbor freight torque adapter on a breaker bar, that's what I do.
