    Not sure at this point.
This was my 18” aluminum wheels with 1.25” spidertrax spacers.

and here’s what it looks in comparison with and without 1.25” spacers.

Yeah, using 1.25” wheel spacers would change the offset value by 32mm. So 60mm offset OEM wheels would effectively become 28mm offset wheels.

Not sure yet if I’d rather do this or use an aftermarket wheel. I’m going to have to buy new ones either way. Really leaning toward the steelie spares due to the rugged look and low price. But with the added cost of spacers, that second part is kind of negated.

If I do decide to go with spacers, I’d probably get Boras since they’re black. Not sure I’d want the Spidertrax blue poking through, especially if I go with steelies and no center caps.

Steelies are awesome, super strong & durable, deter theft, etc. Pretty sure you can get the Bora in 1" vs. 1.25" on the Spidertrax. That said, I wouldn't ever use or recommend others use spacers. Obviously, much depends on how you use or will use the truck. Now you have me started thinking maybe I can get to steelies without spacers and enough tire width to get out to the edge of my flares with Total Chaos uniball UCA's or some other combo. Glad I don't have time to go down this rabbit hole right now! Ha!
BTW steelies or some aftermarket rims could require different lug nuts, so beware and plan accordingly. In some cases, changing the lug bolts to a slightly longer version is the best way to achieve good thread engagement. Those longer versions are available and can be sourced from a place in Japan. Can't recall the exact info right now, but it's here on the site and I have some pictures of it, so if all else fails just PM me and I will be able to assist further. Good luck!

There's still some good sales on certain Method Wheels. And if you plan on going with a 12.50" wide tire at some point, you're going to want a wider rim than the 8" stocks. Some tire shops won't even mount them on the stock wheels.

I actually want as narrow of a tire as possible. Both for function and for aesthetics. Remember, I don’t like the “poked look.”

Regarding Method wheels (and all others, for that matter), I’m having a bit of trouble finding 18” wheels with an offset in the 35mm range. Most seem to be 17”. What am I missing?

Yeah, I'm not sure with that offset at 18". I just bought some with a +25 offset, to replace the Pro wheels I have in the near(ish)future.
Kind of in the same dilemma as you. Not necessarily looking for a bunch of poke.

I've had 295/70/18 on two Tundra's with stock wheels. It's very close to the UCA, but didn't rub on either. One truck had Bilstein/Dirt King UCA, my current truck the stock UCA. And they don't poke. Just about flush with the fenders.

FWIW, Kenda makes an odd narrow but tall 18" tire. Don't remember the exact dimensions of it at the moment though. Seems like it was around 35.5 x 10.25 or in that ballpark when I was comparing options. It was definitely an odd size.

Yeah, I think the SPC UCAs are what’s screwing me up. If I still had the stock UCAs, I think there’d be more clearance.

But your gonna put the zerks on and grease them ASAP, right? My UBJs came with Zerks that weren't installed in the package. I installed them and had a hard time putting the grease in. Turns out when the zerk is too tight it wont take grease. Oops. I ran around for 2 weeks without grease in them aside from the factory packing grease. They started squeaking after some mild off roading and I figured out they were dry the whole time.

I would highly recommend this even if you aren't planning to use your SPC for a long time. Those ball joints need the initial pumps of moly.

Thank you. Still trying to decide what to do about clearance. Maybe there’s a master thread or spreadsheet here listing specs of all the different 5x150 wheels (or at least the major ones).

I can tell you that Method has models with +25 in 18". That's about all I can tell you, though.

    And SCS, too
