I would rock this with a fn smile! That thing is awesome.

    No way!

The one thing I miss about Texas over all others was the groups I was in and the ability to move these around. I am having a much harder time in Florida and both states are basically the same in the gun laws.

Maybe a shade or two darker and a black magwell?

I never heard of these until this thread. Interesting firearm but I like your build out.

That said, I love my RIA 10mm. If you do not have a 10mm in the collection, I would recommend one.

I found a DW Specialist in 10mm which is what I should've gotten in the first place. I'm considering picking that up and selling the Springfield. Then I look at the cost of stocking up on 10mm (I'd want a min of 2k on hand) and have second thoughts when I have more than enough 9/45.

    Allegedly....

I have a min qty of each caliber in my supposed collection. However, this is not true for 10mm due to the cost of rounds. But I consider this one kinda like my Vector, more novelty than end of world scenario. I like having it too, just in case I come across some of these rounds end of world scenario....

All of this is allegedly of course, as all my firearms were safely turned in at the local buy back...

I haven't yet. My build is very similar, just darker. Think the one I built was just a shade over 1600.00

No matter what I go with (if I even do), the weapon will have to accept G17 mags. This is all I have and don't feel like making another investment in 10-15 mags.

Or...I could make a small investment into my current "go to's" and buy ammo/train more.

I may go up shooting on Friday. I have 300 rounds I can burn up of 9mm. Maybe make a decision then.

10mm is very expensive to shoot. I used to get very cheap reloads from a gun shop owner in CA. He was like "man, I'm so excited I've finally met another person that shoots 10mm. That counts 3 now that I know of in southern CA."

He was pretty cool. If I picked up brass and returned, he damn near gave them to me at cost. Still expensive.

Almost 3X compared to 9mm and roughly $.05+ plus per round compared to 45ACP for FMJ... It does add up.

    This is why I don’t own a 40 or 10mm.

Yep. One of the smoothest .40 cal I have ever shot was a SA XDm. A LEO buddy in TX let me borrow it for a bit.

Pretty cool history lesson on the 10mm.
I'm just going to say they went back to the 9mm due to training and doing better than 15% placement.

^ I’ve got that same gun pictured but DA/SA in 45ACP. It’s seen some rounds. It’s got a tiny bit of trigger crunch in single action but goes bang every time.

If I'm buying a 2011, I'd go Platy at this point

Unless I find one of the new glock mag staccato used in a couple years for cheap

I put hands on a Staccado and CZ Shadow 2 yesterday. Pretty nice weapons...but I agree. I'm probably going to design and order the platy.

They said there would be a .45 version at some point. I love my 9s, but I’ll definitely get the .45 version when they release it. I thought it was a great move when they offered the bull barrel.

Built and saved this one tonight. This was a fun gun build, not a carry build.

Decision's to make. I'm just waiting on some pricing for the Staccado HDP4. This one felt great.

Stock, with a few cosmetic mods.
Yup, been there, done that. Mainstream rounds for me now. .38/.357, 9mm, and .45acp. Plus I reload but still stay away from .40/10mm. Had and sold a few Colt Delta Elites in my day, great guns, but they’re gone now.
