I’m still trying to figure out what angle she’s working here. I’m suspicious.

Nope, I wish. It’s my buddy Dennis’s trailer (he has a lot of trailers). It’s a nice one, real heavy duty. I wasn’t sure if I needed a 14’ or a little longer, but it fits perfectly on that 14 footer.

Since I haven’t gotten to do anything to or with the truck for a while, as it’s been so god damn hot for the month of July, I figured I’d suffer through an hour of work to fix an oversight I made when I did my spare tire tie downs. I don’t know why, but I decided to position the spare about 10” off the front side of the bed. This meant the spare and strap got in the way A LOT whenever I tried to put anything in the bed. I ended up moving everything about 8” towards the front of the truck, and left a little bit of play for the 37 that will hopefully go there eventually. The unijack still fits and it feels like I actually have a usable portion of my truck bed again.

That is how I mounted mine except 180 out from your arrangement. I have the single strap in the front and the 2 in the rear. It was easy to do that way because the brackets are more or less under the tire. I have my unijack in the corner of the passenger side front but it gets hiddenIMG_6650.HEIC.jpg

I need to look into that strap setup you have for the cans. That's pretty slick. And I'd seen the strap positioned both ways, the ratchet in the front just made more sense to me at the time. But now you'll probably make me overthink it and switch it around in 3 months lol

Curious what your exact order of operations is for spare tire removal. You’ve got me thinking now, too..

If ya'll move the tires and static weight towards the tailgate the rear suspension works much better. Just an observation I've found but you can do that when it's party time.

    Five tire rotation?.. #noway

I like just loosening the strap, un-clipping and tire slides out. No adjustment. But I’m open to new ideas!

@JevinJ told me to keep my shit centered since I'm not as cool as you  I don't think us plebes see as much benefit with the rear weight as an LT speed demon build would
