The plate might work thru the case but it will not work well!

Clearly the thicker the case the worse this will work too.

I have even had no trouble sticking the plate to silicone cases which I was sure before could not work.

Says the guy who has had his phone launch many times before he just stuck the plate on the case and it works perfectly!

Great to know! I’ll probably just stick it on the case then. Gonna order one now. Thanks!

For the record I am using the Synergy case right now.

And I have a Scosche mount in every car.

Does the adhesive hold up in the summer months?

Never had a problem and it gets pretty bad here for sure.
I also spend a lot of time on South Florida where they would fall off if they were ever going to.

I am so in love with the Scosche mount system that I carry the Vent Mount model in my coat pocket at all times just so I might be able to use it in other peoples cars and rentals!

I only got my newest Tundy 2 weeks ago and still have not decided where to mount one permanently and still have the Vent mount on the right drivers side and I might just leave it there.

    Probably not though.

Sweet. I’ll probably get one and give it a shot. Some of the Amazon reviews complain about the adhesive quality so that’s why I asked. Maybe I’ll try a vent mount one first.

The adhesive version is much better I think but the Vent mount is just better for flexible portable use but as usual the answer is to try both!

The Vents can swivel under the weight of the phone too which is a little annoying but I do love those vents!

Vent one is on the way but I like the idea of the adhesive one near the 4WD switch.

This is what I use. Sticks between vent and 4wd knob nicely and holds my phone there securely. Was in a wreck in my previous truck and drinks, change, and other stuff was scattered all over but my phone was right where I left it. I actually moved the magnet from the wrecked truck to my new truck.

I used a 2 layer Incipio case on my previous phone and placed the metal plate between the outermost layer and it worked great. I have a Spigen tough armor on my current phone which is also a 2 piece case, same deal....holds it securely and in easy view for maps.

Does it swivel when you make a hard turn? Also, can you provide link? Exactly what I'm looking for. Prefer not to MacGyver it.

I bought that mount and was disappointed when the new version came. I was hoping to the old version would have came because I liked the fact that it dispersed the weight around the whole vent then just the top with the 2nd gen. With our winters in se pa i am worried the clamp will crack the vent ring with the heating and cooling cycles. I'm still undecided if I want to use it.

Could someone leave the dimensions for the ICS mount? The more I think about it I’m wondering if it would fit with some modifications in a Gen 2.

I had a Proclip in my old truck. Loved it. My 2020 has Apple CarPlay so I don’t need it now.

I have had several pro-clips over the years, IMHO they are the gold standard, although those plate mounts on top of the speakers look pretty bomb proof. Going to look into one of those.

I am not using a proclip on my Tundra - I bought one for my last track car and it didn't fit properly. So I had to rush order a CD mount for an event I was doing, and it turned out working perfectly. So now I am using one of these in both track car and pickup and for the price they are pretty awesome: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07H9PK24...9Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=

I had a few magnet mounts as well - they are fine, but don't hold the phone in any rough terrain or even moderate bumps. I never play CD's, have a USB stick with all the tunes I need. The CD slot holders with sides and bottoms hold the phone really, really well. Don't have to worry about it shaking off in bumps.

For the price, hard to beat.

I ordered this a few days ago. Hopefully it’s sturdier than my hondo mount. It was rock solid but got shakier over time. And I wanted to reclaim my vent lol

My Proclip was sturdy and worked as advertised for the entire time I had it installed (3 years). Speed bumps, and off-road driving; no issues, rattles, problems whatsoever.
You will love it. I would still be using it in my new truck if I didn’t have CarPlay.

Is there any chance you could tell me exactly what parts from 67d you got to make this setup? Thanks in advance!
