I've got a buddy with a 2nd gen that overloads his on a constant basis and is always complaining about his rotors being warped. I was thinking he was over tightening his lug nuts, which he may be, but now it makes sense why they are warped. Anytime I tell him he shouldn't haul around the size loads he does, he tells me the tundra pulled the space shuttle...

Gotta be careful with slotted too. Yeah it can help with heat but you also remove braking surface area.

People will believe anything. What the eyes see and the ears hear the mind believes.

Solid we can get slotted, but us old gens like mine we can get a big brake upgrade for it. Bigger caliper and bigger pad so we dont cook the rotors ( common problem with those years)

No they are not. You are confusing vented rotors with slotted. Not the same thing. All gen tundras have vented front rotors.

Well there is a 2015 in my driveway. And it's not slotted or drilled.

Cross drilled rotors would decrease braking efficiency. Less surface area means less stopping power. It's that simple.

Porches and lambos and other super cars that are cross drilled literally have the same size rotors we do but 1/2-2/3 the weight. They don't need the surface area.

Ok then, I saw someone with the 3rd gen with drilled and or slotted. I want to say it was here.

Tells me its not a factory option. Ok thanks.
