Have these on my bike and have to say none have crossed in front of me thank God. It’s heads and ears up when I’ve seen them and passed.

How is the clevis pin held in? I see it uses a hitch type slide pin on the end but is that the only way it holds it in or does it screw in like a standard clevis? Either way I wouldn't leave them on the truck, just asking to be stolen especially with how cool they look.

Also has a snap pin that keeps them from unscrewing themselves and falling out.

no one has answered the question… Will this become an option to have factory installed? Yes, of course, as it should have been all along!

Any chance to see the pin out? Looks like the end is a 12 point and I'm not seeing a hole in it like a standard pin. Does it come with/use a special tool? Reason I ask is because 90% of people that buy this will tighten that pin down as hard as they can so it can't be stolen. Standard shackles have a flat with a through hole in it. That way if it gets tightened down you can use a screwdriver or pliers to get it off. This looks like there is no hole and would use a 12 point style socket to get it off if it was tightened down or rusts on. Using your standard leather man type tool isn't going to work, pin is too big, you'd need something like slip joint pliers with teeth, not something someone usually carries around.

This picture has a cotter pin on the end and looks to be thread less for that TRD shackle.

Correct. They DO screw in. Clevis pin with a cotter pin to keep the clevis pin from falling out.

It screws in AND it has the cotter pin to keep it from unscrewing itself.

It would be great if people only spoke to information that they were certain about. Like users that actually bought and installed the items... or very least, seen it in person.. straight up spreading false information.
@LB-1889 installed it and his earlier comment confirms it is both threaded and pinned.

I like the look without any clevises.

Agree and just having a tow point is enough.

I don’t have access to the clevises for pics right now but the side that appears to have the 12 point head the opposite side is threaded, and has the snap ring (similar to the one below) and a hole. This is for the supplied TRD clevises.

The install instructions tell you store the clevises and not leave them installed until they are needed.

Just got the kit today. Hope to install it tomorrow. Everything seems pretty stout but will probably end up with some different shackles too when finished.

Gotta hand it to Toyota - redesigns a truck with NO tow points/etc, then....2 years later....releases a kit with shackles big enough to kill an elephant, tow a nuclear submarine or serve as basketball hoops at NBA finals.

No wonder they don't want you driving around with 'em attached - probably more solid than the rest of that truck put together!

Or tow freighters and cruise ships through the Panama Canal!

I like the shape and TRD letting, but I would take it for $150 less and gets normal looking ones. Maybe some nice matching TRD red hooks.

LB-1889, did you use the template referenced in the install instructions for cutting the bumper? I didn’t get any templates in the box.

There were none that I could find. I just test fit it and you will be able to see where it is contacting on the bottom. Mark and and remove valance to trim inner structure. I removed approximately 6” wide by 1” deep of material.

So the kit includes a new valence but you still have to do some bumper cutting? Eek
