Unfortunately these are sold. Based on this ad, it appears that there are other mirrors in addition to ones mentioned above (87910-0C570 Right, 87940-0C570 Left) that will work. In the picture they showed 87940-0C440 Left.

87940-0C440 / 87910-0C440 are an older part number for 2014-2015 trucks (maybe even 2016-2017). Not sure what real differences there are other than the fact they sometimes make rolling changes that are reflected in new part numbers, but the base function and fit are essentially the same.

I picked up a set of mirrors, 87940-0C440 driver / 87910-0C420 passenger: defrost, power fold, turn signal, puddle light, BSM. I found them on Offerup, 1hr away from where I live, set for $200. Previous owner upgraded to tow mirrors. Mirrors came off 2014 Tundra 1794, they are in excellent condition. I also ordered OEM mirror switch 84872-52040 from eBay. I still need to order all the electrical bits and pieces, i.e. connectors, wire, etc. In the first phase of the project I want to wire up power fold and puddle lights. I will tackle BSM down the road as phase two. My truck, same as yours, has bed lights, this shouldn't matter, since I don't have mirror floodlights to wire up, right?. What wire colors should I purchase to match factory wire color scheme, same colors as you used? Since I have to purchase wire, what gauge would you recommend 18/20/22AWG? Truck has "illumination" pre-wired (N5 and M6 pine 9), what does this do?

I would go 20 or 18. 20 will be easier to get into the factory terminals and connectors. Wire colors I don’t typically worry about too much because technically, they didn’t put power fold in any non-memory trucks after 2009 and the wiring on the memory trucks is totally different.

I don’t have the diagrams on my phone, so off hand I’m not sure what exactly pin 9 is. Might be the turn signal?

Saturday I installed the used mirrors I picked up (87940-0C440 driver / 87910-0C420 passenger). As expected, turn signal indicators work without making any modifications. Next weekend or weekend after I want to tackle wiring for power fold and puddle lights. BTY, in addition to installing the mirrors I blacked out the interior. I love the look. Check it out.

Would you mind taking a look at this, truck has "illumination" pre-wired (N5 and M6 pin 9), what does this do?

Your tow mirrors came with Reverse Flood Lights, which you chose to connect instead of the Puddle Lights. I have factory mirrors with puddle lights only. As long as I run the wires up to the mirror connectors same as you did (3 wires per mirror), will my puddle lights work when I reverse and when I lock/unlock the truck?

Illumination is for “marker” lights that will come on with your headlights - it’s a feature on the factory tow mirrors.

I ran the “reverse” lights on my mirrors to a dedicated switch. It’s completely different than the puddle lights. Technically the puddle lights power off of the mirror memory ECU in the trucks that have them, so you’re going to have to search for someone that has actually done the puddle lights to get some ideas there. If I recall, the puddle lights in the 18+ are negative switched, so you can’t tap that circuit unless you modify the actual wiring in your mirrors or use a relay. Similar situation with the cargo lights.

Totally spaced on this post. Did you get them hooked up? I can walk you through it on one of the weekends. Shoot me a PM and I’ll give you my cell and I’ll go through mine to see.

I'm in the middle of sourcing upgraded OEM mirrors as I (slowly) make my way towards adding BSM, RCTA, and parking sonar to my 21 TRD Pro. The platinum/1794 mirrors seems like the way to go if I also get power fold/puddle lights by swapping the switch and doing some electrical work.

Right now trying to find definitive part numbers so I can be checking for salvage or craigslist/marketplace (. There's 3 pairs of part numbers I've come across for platinum mirrors that all MSRP for 1.0-1.1k. Wondering if anyone knows the differences – most of the part listing pages are hard to decipher for exact features (power fold, auto dim, heating, BSM, etc.)
    1. 87910-0C570 / 87940-0C570 - I think these are the latest
    2. 87910-0C560 / 87940-0C560
    3. 87910-0C420 / 87940-0C440 - Roman mentions these back in 2018
This thread mentions takeoffs that mix and match the LH and RH mirror from part numbers 1 and 3 above which makes me think they are equivalent. I think #3 was 14-17 and #1 is 18-21, but trying to figure out what#2 was - sparks lists it as 18-21 - maybe its the mirrors that would be placed on SR5 or Limited premium package.

BTW trying to find these used is a great way to make this mod affordable - I'm either waiting for a 25% Toyota sale to get them new for around $580 each, 1.1k total, but I'm seeing at least one takeoff used on Craigslist for $200.

So the second set of mirrors, Sparks clearly says no BSM so those are out - no idea why their MSRP is up in the 1k range w/o BSM unless its some other feature that drives the cost (power folding?).

I did find a pair of the 14-19 platinum mirrors (87910-0C420 / 87940-0C440) used for $200. I noticed that the motor for horizontal/vertical power adjust is slower compared to what I had from factory on a 21 TRD Pro. I'm guessing the newer mirrors wouldn't have this issue, but its not terrible so going to keep them, especially for that price.

So I figured out just how painful my broken passenger side mirror replacement is going to be after combing these threads and looking at the OEM prices. My best guess is that a '21 Platinum with BSM, puddle, turn signal, power folding-reverse tilt is part #87940-0C570. Has anyone been able to find a decent aftermarket solution? Most that I find don't have some feature that's on the truck currently. Ive checked a few online used prcies that range around $750+. Anybody know a more economical option?

@LanierTundra if you are looking for passenger side (right hand side), I think the part number is 87910-0C570 vs 87940.

Not sure about aftermarket as I prefer to stick to OEM where possible, but if you are willing to wait they do pop up on Facebook. The 14-19 platinum mirrors I found a set for $200 and that roughly matches what others have reported in this and other thread. I'm guessing the 18-21 would be harder to find and more expensive although I notice many people list takeoffs and don't really pay much attention to different part numbers when it comes to price, if they even list a part number.

However, here's example of the exact mirror you need for $280 OBO on Marketplace, I verified its 87910-0C750 a couple weeks ago when I was looking and messaging listings to confirm part number, but do your own homework of course: . Maybe that one will work out for you.

Tundy, thanks for the info. I prefer OEM also. The glass is good, it may get the two-sided tape band-aid until I can get a matching used one in hand.
