    i-FORCE 3.4L Twin-Turbo V6, 358 hp @ 5200 rpm, 406 lb.-ft. @ 2000 rpm
    i-FORCE MAX 3.4L Twin-Turbo V6 Hybrid, 437 hp @ 5200 rpm, 583 lb.-ft. @ 2400 rpm

If you cant see a difference in the power, torque and response...you were'nt paying attention! Your comment is just as naive as you are.

I respect that. I just don't want to be caught plunking down two grand on a new hybrid battery 10 years from now (assuming that's what they will cost in 2033) or dealing with the extra complexities that hybrids have in them. KISS principle. Time will tell I guess.

Except the numbers you quote for the base i-Force are SR numbers. The SR is detuned. The i-Force on all other trims above SR5 is 389 HP and 479 ftLbs of torque @2400 RPM.

When calling somebody out for attention to detail it is usually best to make sure you have paid attention to detail.

Actually it’s the SR that’s detuned. SR5 and above have the regular powertrain standard

LOL, that's what I meant to type....see what I mean about attention to detail? Went back and edited my post to reflect the correct trim. :frusty:

Regardless, if you are towing, that extra 100 lbft of torque is pretty damned nice.

I won't argue with that. I was just pointing out that 479 ftLbs is not exactly a shabby number.

Nobody said it wasn't shabby, what was said is that it wasn't much difference in response...thats simply not true at all. Almost 50 HP and 100 ft-lb in torque difference...that makes a huge change.

Get the extended warranty then like the rest of us, 150k mile warranty which I am sure they will pro rate the batter if it does need to be replaced. Toyota went with the NI mH batteries because they do not tend to have the memory effects of the Li batteries. Once sold states come out that will be a came changer.

Interesting. No issues with my cup holders. Perhaps they are E cups?

And we’re getting that at just a mere 2400rpm. Damn, that’s diesel territory!!

I went with attentions of non hybrid. Drove it could feel lag. From dead stand still half throttle a nose dive then it takes off. Drove hybrid tested it. Ordered hybrid waited 2 months took it home. No nose dive, no hesitation.

I hope that comes true. I have never done the research but I wonder what the availability and cost is for a hybrid battery for a vehicle that is say already 10 to 15 years old. The Prius and Highlander both fall into that category.

as long as you happy thats all that matters. FWIW my recent build 23 has no hesitation or lag, I think they cleaned that up from the earlier 22s

Retrax. Uptop AFS bed rack. Condor XL. Dobinson rear springs. BFG 35/12.5/r18. BD light bar and ditch lights. Prinsu roof rack. Diode dynamics fog upgrade.
Take the hybrid and put in on sport mode, big difference in city driving.
