I love how the "community notes" call out most of the false shit.. on both sides of the political isle.

Yeah, lot of noise and BS to wade through. Hard to get away from that these days

FTW. When New Belgium first released Ranger, I hated it. But I was mostly drinking lagers and Mexican beers then, which was probably just an extension of my college Busch Light days.

Ranger can't be beat, especially on tap, except for the beers OldGuy runs with.

Only two. Was enough. A six pack will last me three weeks. 2 beers per week.

Most lagers seem to be missing something. Good , but missing something. Happens when you get used to IPA's.

    Good stuff here....[IMG]

I also felt them same way about voodoo ranger when it was first released. But Soaked from ORB is hands down one of my favorites. Their New England style IPA has a cult following for a reason. In their Frisco taproom I'd venture to guess over 80% of their offerings are IPA. Sometimes more. Niche for sure.

You're lucky to have that access out your door. It's funny to get lectured on the freshness of beer. This ain't Texas. Colorado figured this out a while back.

This thread alone is the majority of my news sources. Call me stupid but I like to think that ignorance is bliss in regard to a lot of the newsworthy material of our world today.

You should be able to find Outer Range Brewing down in Aurora. Check out their Soaked. It's a triple, and doesn't even taste like a high ABV beer at all. I limit myself to two if I'm having them.

I called Hazels and he said they'd have it tomorrow. But, does ORB sell it in cans?

^ Exactly. We usually aren't too many feet away from the vats. Some tap rooms have a window. You can drink your ultra fresh lager or IPA while more is being brewed. "Freshness of beer" LOL

I am no beer nerd but the popularity of IPA’s seems to be deminishing in our area.
I tend to gravitate towards the craft lagers, pilsners and lighter stouts which are in no way bland or boring here in Alberta. We are lucky to have the grains of the prairies and the waters of the rockies right at our door step.

they do. It's a limited production from time to time. I've seen it in cans at the brewery for the past month.

Oooh. I've been off work since Sunday morning last week. Got nothing done, but did go visit some family and got out deer hunying with a buddy for a day. He was hunting his early season since he got his disabled tag.

Not sure it's equivalent since they were actual government employees and dock workers are not; but when air traffic controllers went on strike in the 80's and threatened the economy and security of the nation, Ronald Regan fired every fv(king one of them.

According to AP, ILA workers make between $80k - $200k per year. If that's true, I don't really have any sympathy for them.

The President can invoke the Taft Hartley Act. It was amended to call for an 80 day cooling off period between both sides. Ports stay open and negotiations continue. The timing of this is suspect. Maybe.......:anonymous:

Maybe. I am 100% a capitalist and have heard more about corruption in unions than good (including my own experience whilst a clerk at the IRS in my 20's), but I really want to stand on the side of the common man, too (since, you know, I am one). I believe moving toward better technology and automation is going to benefit the world, but I'd rather see those jobs lost to attrition than firing because a machine replaced them. I'm squarely torn on most of the issues around the problem; but as to fv(king up the rest of the country... All in all it's just another brick in the wall.
