Still think we should teach you about multi-quote though.

 

Alright, here goes.


Multi-quote+ is the button right next to the quote one that you are familiar with. If you hit that button on any post, it adds it to a list that you can review later.

So, for your normal operations you could start with the last unread post and if it is worth a response you hit multi-quote and keep scrolling along, hitting multi-quote on anything you want to respond to. Once you are all caught up you will have a new "Insert Quotes" button at the bottom left of your reply box. See pic.




When you hit that button it will pop up a window with all the posts that you hit multi-quote on. It will look like the pic below.
Two things of note here are the option to remove posts that you no longer wish to quote (1: This lets you clean up the list in case you found out that a post you wanted to respond to has already been addressed) and the "Quote These Messages" button (2: This adds all the quotes to a single reply post.)



Once you insert the quotes you can insert your replies to each post in between them as desired. Just be careful you don't put your response between the Quote Command Text as it will instead add your responses as part of the quotes.

 

Sweet, I'll try one later.... but how does this help me not immediately post a reply on something and ask a question or give a response that has already been answered 3 pages later???

 

It lets you save them up as you go without responding until you are fully caught up. Then if something has been answered you can remove it from the multi-quote.

Also, there's nothing wrong with the way you currently do it, especially because you are a good sport when we give you a hard time about it. You don't have to use it at all.

Actually, there's been times (not related to my 'issue') where I've wanted to provide a response to a few posts or address a few folks and tried the multi-quote but couldn't get it to work... so this does help!!!!

I mean she's pretty, but not what most would call "hot" or super stunning. I think she's pretty, but I like petite women that don't have huge racks or fat butts. She's not flat by any stretch, but she's not Lynda Carter either.

Audible chuckle when I read this earlier. In comedy bits, this is referred to as a call back. The true humor lies in moving it to a different thread though.

 

I got the reference but, as my buddy says, I'm a "literal bastard" and take things at face value often. To that end, I have no idea about her bedroom proclivities because she's married, out of my league, and I'm not rude enough to ask such things.

 

Ugh... I just had a cough that blacked me out. Came out of it slumped forward and drooling on my shirt. Really hoping a couple days of these meds gets this crap under control.

 

Get some hot tea slathered w/a shit ton of honey on that throat...

 

My throat isn't actually sore, but I should probably gargle some salt water. No tea for me, thanks.

It's not all about the sore throat...

Honey has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties, which can help soothe and fight infection. It also help to 'coat' cough receptors to help minimize the cough response to whatever triggers are happening in your body.

You can also put it in just warm water or even take a tblspn of it in your mouth and let it slowly run down the back of your throat...

Salt water is good too and you can alternate between the two every couple of hours...

 

I don't particularly like honey, but I may have to give it a shot. No honey at the office, though.

 

I might do some warm milk and honey before bed in the morning.
