My whole week is this

 

I will be Fridaying from my home office, so that’s a bonus.
But I’m trying to get a presentation put together (haven’t started) for next week and I fly out today morning to where I’m giving it

 

Is that plain yogurt??

If so, here's an easy summer treat recipe for your pup...

1: In a bowl, dump a container of plain (organic, environmentally friendly and sustainable) yogurt.

2: Add in copious amounts of fresh Oregon Blueberries (frozen fresh blueberries from Kroger if you live in Michigan)

3: Stir contents of bowl slowly and gently; so as it incorporate the above ingredients w/o destroying the integrity of the blueberries

4: Spoon out 'treat-sized' amounts onto freezer-safe cookie sheet lined w/parchment paper and place into the freezer

5: Allow treats to freeze-up and take shape (usually a couple of hours)

6: Serve frozen and allow your pup to enjoy the treat

Heading anyplace cool? I am trying to get my next few trips planned around camping season and it is proving difficult. But my trips grenade 7-10 days so a trip basically destroys two weekends.

I bet Texans are asking that question a lot these days

 

Kaufman and Terrell are two smallish towns near here that the news is reporting are gearing up to double their population for the day before and after. I'm sure any small town near the center of the path of totality will get the same treatment. It'll be a mad house around Plano too. I'm making sure to get groceries and gas before the wave of people land. Glad it's only going to last a few minutes and then everyone can go back home.

Presentation at my alma mater, then a 4-day reunion with my roommates from 26 years ago.

 

Today is a recognized holiday for us...meaning I'm on shift for 24 & get paid for 36. Also means no admin, no chiefs, etc. except for the shift supervisor. As long as all of our job security types save it for Sat/Sun (we start our 4 day tomorrow), today should be a decent day. Hope everyone has a safe weekend!

 

Waterfalls, mountains, waves on the beach... It's just a cool nature thing, and you can't really feel it just from pictures. It's fun that I'll be able to sit in my back yard and watch it, weather permitting.

 

I saw one maybe 30 years ago and it was pretty cool. Not worth the level of crazy you’re going to get.

Hopefully all the small towns make a crapton of money off the bust of tourism and then things get back to normal quickly.

 

So not a cool place but sounds like a good time!

Correct but this year a portion of our work was not funded for the AOP (end of April is the end of our fiscal) for the technology I am working on but they had me work my rear off and pushed out more than we have in over 10 years. I have 26 weeks paid leave and taking 12 weeks. If the funding does not 'appear' by then I will take the rest
